It's a relatively small Safeway which means there's also relatively little shelf room which also means that shelves get empty very fast because this is a high usage store. It is not at all uncommon to find the shelf where you're looking empty. Having said that it's a valuable resource to the neighborhood and is relied upon by many people including myself. All of the problems associated with this store are because of its relatively small size and high volume of traffic.

This store is always clean. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Their produce is abundant. I am from out of town, but always go to this location when I am in Portland.

One of the newer and larger Safeway's located in the Pearl District of Portland. Clean, large selection of everyday grocery needs. And for me, a bonus of their hot food bar and lounge area where they offer local ales on tap and wines by the glass. At least before COVID.

Great for general groceries. It has the best selection and prices in this part of town. There's a large produce section with many organic options, too. Sign up for the membership if you haven't already (it's free) because it gets you a lot of discounts. Any cashier can help with that. My only gripe with this store is that there is always a homeless presence at the entrance, asking you for spare change.

No, I do not see that safeway carries that brand at all. Looks like all the typical name brands...Cliff bars. Luna, Kashi Nutra-grain, Natures Valley, Belvita and many more including their own Safeway select and absolutely no sign of "Mila supplement bars" anywhere. I did mention to two of the Store managers who will look into procuring some ayvleast it only possible on a trial basis. I just called corporate to ask about EBT, and ARIZONA is the only state at this time that will take EBT for delivery. They don't know when other states will be able to do so. :o(

It just depends on the location and the time of day you visit. Some stores are also training stores so give them a couple chances before you make a final decision on shopping there. As for the Chinese cuisine it is best to eat it hot because cold Chinese cuisine never tastes as good
