I was kind of bummed at how slow the employees were to take my sandwich order at noon on a Friday. I wasn't addressed properly. Just stared at by an Asian women. Who didn't have the deli fully prepped by noon either. She had no ideas what I eased along for when I said #2.. so I had to explain. Didn't have a tomato option as they hadn't been cut yet Glass casing surface was covered in dust. Not a safe crowd surrounding the place either. Not a place for children I'd say

The amount of things that are wrong with the way that the store does business are nearly infinite. The staff is generally overworked and obviously undervalued or they would treat the customers better. But this is not new since the pandemic either. Very often their money order machine is broken, which they only take cash for money orders. And I don't understand that because other grocery chains take debit because it's the same as cash. But Safeway just seems like they want to make things more difficult for the customer. I've had to wait up to 25 minutes to even get someone at the customer service desk. Then even their check cashing service is flawed. I had a check that had everything that they needed and was told by two different team members why I couldn't cash it. It's horrible.

I love this store and I shop here all the time, and I have been for the last 6 years. I think that the prices are a bit high, and the place does have this sort of odor to it. It has nothing to do with the staff, they are all great people. Taking a star off because of negative interactions that I have had with ~some~ of the folks that like to hang around the outside. The cleanliness isn't great.

Frequently out of stock on some popular items. The prices are good but the app for the coupons has a tendency to not let you access the app while you are in the store. The app also tracks my location around town even though I haven't accessed the app or gave the app permission to access my location. Also, there is no public restroom my guess because of the homeless however, the staff are usually patient and helpful.
