The lady last week was so helpful. She knew all resources. I had alot of bad experiences. Shes multitask I guess is best to describe her. She helps people on the computer and is just a very good person. I was there on s Thursday. Never asked what days she worked. Hope their r more like her. Its been awhile. People r struggling. She will tell u everything in detail. Wish I remembered name definitely makes it s better atmosphere when people treat u the way they want to be treated. 1 to 10 Shes a 10 1/2.

these people do not do their job at all! they dont answer the phone of nothing! the give you other numbers to call, just for them not to answer!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
No it's because they need to hire more people that actually like to work. Everytime I go down there I watch them just sit there and let their phone ring and ring while they are joking around with their coworkers. That's Montgomery County for you.
This is just a community Forum. The comments and questions do not go directly to MCDJFS. I agree its ridiculous!
I just talked to someone. After almost 3 hrs. I got my amswer in 1 min!
Mondays and Fridays but the scanning Center is pretty easy and open all week.
Calls are routed through the call center. You have to wait until a customer service representative can answer your call.
I guess :)
Yes, it doesn't matter where the other parent lives, you file where ever you live.
Yes
I'm following this been almost a month I've been waiting. Don't want to depend on the system, but it's like that's what they are wanting. Can't work if I don't have childcare, currently lost my job because of it. Only dealt with one other county for a year and they kept me updated.
You would have to call 2 make sure you get accurate information:)
Right when they open. It's typical to stay on the line for up to 2 hours before they answer your call.
Absolutely. If you fall below 150% of the poverty level. The best way to find out is to apply.
The recording tells you when you call.
Also, there is now a department that specifically handles issues such as yours. They're located inside the job center, up the main stairs to the left. Its literally called F.A.I.R.!
There could be a hundred answers to that question! I've heard people talking about or similar complaints sometimes when I'm down there. GO TO F.A.I.R.! They will help you!
Absolutely scan it. Go on a Monday or Friday to have a worker scan it and it will go directly to your worker.
They said they sn do it over the phone. I picked up a couple packets for others. They I guess r not going to get them. Its health care and snap. If u call she said start calling before 8am. U might be on hold for 30 mins or if ur the first not long. Or fill out the packet and turn it in. I am in miamisburg? If ur close I an meet u and give u the packet that tells more? Or when u go in its go your left. The lady was very nice. She helps alot. Usually I have had some rude people. But know one is there.. Just let me know? Or I could mail it to u? U will get it for u and her. Unless u have it through work. My number is 718-0990. 937. Jen.
Yes
I am pretty sure you have to a job assignment for cash assistance. The food assistance and medical im pretty sure there is no work assignment for those benefits.Double check with your case worker, because things change so often at the Job and Family Services.
Yes, at ssp.benefits.Ohio.gov
Not sure of the hours. But it is basically the job center is on shut down. Look through there web sight
I have not received my benefits
sorry. That’s ssp.benefits.ohio.gov. Autocorrect got me
I did earlier this year, it said everything went through and I had email confirmation for my annual review but I still got kicked off, didn't even bother to apply because I feel like it's all set up to keep people off. Best bet is to take a cab or bus and go in person if you can.
1111 S Edwin C Moses Blvd Dayton Ohio 45402
Monday and Friday, but we have self scan stations with helpers Monday through Friday.
There’s a form you fill out if you lost power for four hours or more. It’s under food assistance on the county family assistance page. You can send it in remotely if you can’t get to the Job Center.
Sure. Go to benefits.ohio.gov If you lost food you already had from having SNAP, there’s a form on the county’s family assistance page under food assistance
Trying to get United health care off as my primary Medicaid said only a supervisor can do this. I dont have that insurance as of 5-2018. Cant make dr appt til it's off my Medicaid billing .
Yes. During normal business hours, unless it happens to be a Federal holiday. You can check www.mcohio.org for more information.
Mondays and Fridays....there's also a self-scanning room.
Yes they can mail an application or other forms but no printout with personal info can be mailed
Only for families with children under 18 or pregnant women
Yes Job Center is closed today 01/01/2019. Will reopen on Wednesday morning 01/02/2019.
Open regular hours today...until 5pm
Use the kiosk machine:)
Make a copy and send it 2 your caseworker or go down 2 the job center and use the kiosk machine:)
There was a power outage today for 2 hours.
They have Remodeled that place since I last lived in Montgomery County... So I'm really Not familiar with what different offices they have:)
Just contact the job center 4 info or go up there 2 sign up:)
As long as they are in school and under 18, no. Once 18, it must be reported.
You can apply for Medicaid via website at: odjfsbenefits.ohio.gov
No. Monday through Friday.
30-90 days after JFS gets the information depending on how the information was submitted. You can submit in person, on the Ohio benefits website, by phone, by fax, or by email or by contacting the Ohio Medicaid Hotline. Good luck!
What do you mean talk online?
Yes. You can self scan at any time. There is a day that they will scan for you. Dont know what day that is.
Mondays and Fridays. Be sure to arrive before 2:20pm and take a number. Even though they say you can scan until 4:00, they remove the numbers from the dispenser EARLY and if you don't have a number, you don't get served!
I'm not sure. If you have another pic I.D. try that. If not, maybe try birth certificate, Social Security card and mail with your name on it. Good luck!☺
Not that I know of!!! I tell everyone, your best bet 4 getting or giving information is to go to the job center. The earlier the better the shorter than lines!
Go to Montgomery job and family services and fill out a packet. The receptionist will give it to you
If people are needing help and don't live within walking or are unable to walk to the office or don't have the gas to drive there going in to the office is difficult. They need to have a call back number or get more ppl to answer phones. 2 and a half to three hours on hold it bs. They really need to update their system. I don't have this much of a problem with the V.A.
It has been my experience that he best way to find out is to go to the information desk at the job center. That applies for any type of program or assistance. Good luck.
I would call the Ohio benefit Bank. It would be much easier to get through to them then to the job center. Last year they only had them when they did free tax preparation during certain days and times. Also the local libraries usually carry them.
You can scan on your own any weekday in the scanning room. For a worker to scan it for you, you should go on Monday's and Fridays before 3:00! It gets to your worker faster.
I know the one at east end.
Please discuss matter with a case manager at JFS
Go to the health department at riibold bldg with your birth info, cost 22.00 ..if your in another county go to the local health department to obtain birth certificate... You just need to know name at time if birth, mother's full name before marriage place if birth, father's info too. That's it . Pay 22.00 You don't even need an ID to get it
Go to the company's HR department and try to get something on letterhead stating the date that your employment ended. Take it to the job center on a Monday or Friday and have it scanned in by a worker. Those are the only two days of the week that workers scan papers in. They will go directly to your worker. Also, fill out the yellow paper by the Dropbox letting your caseworker know that your information on company letterhead was scanned in by a worker and see if they can use the work number to look up the information they need regarding your employment or lack thereof.
What is the day open for scan?
Mondays and Fridays.
You're better off going in, they leave you on hold for hours and you cant get ah of anyon. Just tried the other day over my medical :c
Going to the job center in person is the best way to get something taken care of for sure. Had an issue with my case and no phone calls were answered or returned.
Go to client complaint. Do you have copies of all your information that you have turned in. Like your receipts. That will help your case.
You can also send a representative to pick up an authorization form to represent you, after you sign the form and turn it in, your representative can do your leg work if you are unable to go there. Sending emails are better than attempting to call, however try calling about 10 minutes in the morning before the lines open and keep hitting redial until you get a live person, only the mornings early have worked for me.
You can do it online I use the online chat instead of calling it's faster
When you walk into the job center, turn right and go through the glass double doors. To your immediate left is the desk where you need to speak with someone.
Easy just go to the job Center and ID card in mail from the residence you reside at and sit down and talk to a caseworker
Yes
When you first walk inside the job center, ahead to the left, is a tiny little alcove with a little counter, the time\date stamper and the Dropbox. On that counter are two colored forms; blue and yellow. I believe the one you need is blue but it won't be hard to determine which one you need, as one of the forms says 'Change Report Form'. (You may want to consider filling out both.) Fill it out, time\date stamp it and place it in the Dropbox. DO NOT PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE!!! This will only delay your info being processed. Good luck and be sure to bring your own pen!
Have you met all the requirements
Usually just need the "crib card" from the hospital
When you can, go down to the job center. Up the main stairs and to the right, there is a window with the word F.A.I.R. above it. Let them know that you need to speak with someone regarding health care coverage. If you've already applied let them know that as well. Application and any other dates you may have are helpful as well. They have time frames within which they must process paperwork and or issue a letter of acceptance or denial. The F.A.I.R. office is basically there to make sure that everyone else is doing their job and if not to rectify the situation. Don't be afraid to ask to speak with a supervisor. They may take your information and have one call you. If you haven't heard anything within 48 hours you may have to return. But then you'll usually receive a call within the next 24 hours. I know it's a hassle but sometimes we have to advocate for ourselves. Good luck!
Some functions of the job center are open 6 days a week benefits offices are only open 5 days a week closed for 12 federal holidays and if a holiday lands on the weekend we have the day off before or after the holiday
No

Yes
Call the main call center and wait on hold for as long as you have too. Usually about 45 minutes to an hour. When you get a rep on the line give them your information and ask for your case workers name, number and email. Ill tell you what though. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting a response from most of the case workers. I got lucky and mine was alright. Keep me posted on what happens. I can give you some pointers on dealing with them. Private message me and we can talk about it in detail.
