Heart Breaking. Sat on the CSO Phone for 2 hours and 45 minutes, no progress was made.

Very disrespectful and condescending case working Irina sarkisova, I was asked to send pictures of paystubs both from my bank statement and the job which I did and this lady keeps threatening me with sanctions and closing my benefits. Every time I try to explain my situation or that I am unable to provide information that I don't have, she keeps interrupting me and threatening me. She is very disrespectful, rude, very uncomfortable speaking to her feels more like an interrogation than a simple phone meeting.

Sad thing is, people won't stop going to DSHS as long as they feel victimized and oppressed in American society. And the people behind the counter work with THOUSANDS of disrespectful and entitled people all day. People who demand their money that they don't even work for and when it isn't given they throw a fit and blame others for their circumstances instead of taking it upon themselves to brush the dust off, and try a new approach to finding income and resources. Be smart, be safe. Best of luck to all of you.

The first girl I met with to see about everything was very nice and polite. She gave me good information and then suggested I see someone, a social worker, to discuss some other benefits I might qualify for. I waited fifteen or so minutes then sat down to meet with someone there who was very rude to me, talked down to me and made me feel very upset. She acted like I simply wouldn't qualify at all and took a condescending tone. I didn't even get to really explain before she gave me the most blank stare and was simply rude. I will make sure never to see her again. I said "I don't want to work with you!" and left. Honestly, take a look at the other reviews on here too DSHS, and take it to heart that you need to hire people that care about us. If we stop going in, that's loss of funding for you. I'm just saying, people should feel cared about, and I did not feel cared about here.

**NEW**Complete an application for food and/or cash benefits online or on paper (then mail or fax). Wait for mail with DSHS's response (appointment for interview). Once approved either get an EBT card in person (first time only) or by mail (up to 10 days).
Generally reporters are kept anonymous to ensure no repercussions occur. This office covers several departments, but at least as it pertains to child abuse you're allowed to remain anonymous
Yes and No, right now due to covid-19 they aren't letting anyone in unless they have an appointment. But you can always go online and fill them out and submit them that way also.
