Did the blood drive at my school today through cascade and it was a great experience :) Staff was very kind and welcoming and made my first time donating very easy ! will definitely be returning in the future ! :)

I have donated for almost 40 yrs so I have seen a lot of blood centers across the country. The center in Puyallup, being light and open, is one of my favorites. The staff, from the front desk to the donation table, are pleasant and welcoming along with being good stickers. I am usually in and out in an hour.

I've heard it said that donating blood is an altruistic act. True. Yet I do it for the Cantina 😁 and the welcoming staff. Additionally I do it to make a difference in my community And as a bonus it is no effort on my part. I mean really.. I'm sitting around living my life creating fabulous red blood cells nestled in nutritious plasma . So if I pour a little off for my fellow man / woman, I'll just make some more. Just keep my fave cookies and cranberry juice.

Cascade Regional Blood Services is an integral gear in the medical services of Puyallup and Tacoma. I have been volunteering and donating blood periodically over the past 20 years. Their staff is ALWAYS professional, appreciative, and extremely caring. Their fancy new office on Pioneer is convenient and efficient, making it easy to make an appointment, share a personal renewable resource, and chat with the friendly staff. They are always thankful when new donors stand up and make a difference. Stop by or call them.

Quick Google search says you should not donate as blood thinners will prevent your blood from clotting properly. Definitely consult your doctor and speak with the staff at CRBS to be certain.
Make an Appointment.
I just donated on Thursday and said I had a flu shot and they didn't ask me when I received it.
For blood donation? No monetary compensation. Just the good feeling that you are helping others.
All blood donation is usually a pint so it does not matter if u have covid or not.
Yes, we certainly can. After you donate the product is taken to our lab for testing; upon which time your blood type is determined. We are happy to share that information with you. We hope to see you soon!
Absolutely! We encourage donors to eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating.
No there is no reimbursement for the donation of plasma this is a strictly volunteer donation center...
No. Most places are volunteer donation centers. You get paid with cookies and juice. Try a plasma center for getting paid
Quick answer? Yes and No I just called and asked if we needed an appointment. Person answering the phone said yes we do. When I further stated something about donating because of the train derailment today ( Dec 18, 2018 ) in Pierce County, she said that while they prefer appointments, you can do a walk in but you will probably have a wait.
