If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I brought Jim my father's old Yamaha that dates back to the early 70s and has been hanging on a wall for decades (with no strings). I honestly wasn't expecting much. Jim pulled a miracle out of the hat and not only repaired everything and made it playable he made it sound good. His workmanship is top notch and the fact that he's also a nice guy is just a bonus. Highly recommended.

Brought in a guitar with a Floyd rose that was a pain for me to string for years. Haven’t had strings on it since I was in my teens. Wanted a professional setup and came across artisan luthiers. Jim did a spectacular job! Makes me inspired to play around on this guitar now. I highly recommend going here for all your guitar needs!

Wow; what a huge difference it is to take the time to have a professional set up! People think they can learn tips on online tutorials but these people are true professionals for a reason. Do you and your guitar a favor and have them work their magic on your guitars. My playing now not only sounds better, but is easier, too!

Questions & Answers

How do I get a guitar to you for your services?

Artisan Luthiers | Nov 8, 2019

Great question! We offer two ways to get started working with us. Contact us to set an appointment to meet. A guitar tech can meet with you at our drop-off office on Cherokee Street in Kennesaw, or you can take advantage of our Artisan Concierge service (we come to you for pick-up and return drop-off of your guitar). We make it easy to work with us so simply give us a call to set a time to meet.

I have a 1964 Epiphone Texan FT79 The binding along the neck is wearing down. I would also like to have the Braggs electronics installed. Is this possible?

Yes, we should be able to help you with those items. Ideally we can work with the original binding, and if not we can discuss replacing the binding.

Do you install killswitches/cut off buttons? Either with the customer bringing in the hardware, or purchasing it from you.

Hi, yes we can install kill switches. We offercircuit repairs, mods and complete rebuilds/replacement, pickup swaps, etc. We can install customer furnished parts assuming the parts fit or are otherwise compatible with the guitar.

Do you do total rewiring of guitars? Specifically the wires, 5 way switch, the round potentiometers, etc.

Hi! Yes, we offer troubleshooting, repair and replacement of guitar and bass wiring and components. From the typical Stratocaster wiring to specialty wiring such as Gilmour 7-way wiring we can do whatever you need. Our work is very clean and tidy. Call us for work on output jacks, pots, caps, switches, pickups, wiring and active bass electronics. We recommend installing parts by CTS, CRL, PureTone, Sprague, and Gavitt vintage push-back wire. We can use most any brand you desire. We also offer conductive shielding using paint and copper foil tape.

Would you be interested in an accordion?

Hi Mary, Thank you for your inquiry and offer. An accordion is a bit outside of our business model. We would be glad to offer suggestions on finding possible buyers. Please contact us directly via our website if you would like our help (free). Thank you!
