My daughter attended team practice at stone summit from Feb 2021 until Sept 2022. This year after recreational climbing in 2021 we started to inquire about options to competitively climb. It honestly became a complete joke! The lead coach Neil and team coach Devin did not support or encourage my daughter, there was no structured coaching. I asked multiple times for criteria or skills required for her to compete and ultimately decided to pull her from the Club as it went no where. After one night at a new club she was encouaged to enter a competition the following Saturday with clear directions and instructions on what is needed. I regret wasting months at stone summit, where they tried to reduce her confidence and not adequately coach her with zero explanation. In the end I felt we were discriminated against as my daughter is biracial. I would not recommend sending your child/tween to this club to climb if interested in good constructive coaching and clear criteria to advance.
