Stevalie was incredible. I had a scare with my children and she kindly walked me through all the steps for choking so I’d be better prepared next time—for no cost. I really appreciated her help!

My husband came upon Atlanta CPR when we were searching for a location to learn infant CPR for ourselves and our new nanny. It was so easy to schedule and they offered the course in spanish and in english. We elected for the course in spanish so our nanny could follow easily and it was fantastic. Email correspondence was quick and concise; we were able to nail down a schedule within a day or two. When we arrived, it was a course just for us. Stevalie was absolutely phenomenal and it was great to hear that she was finishing up her med school (hard to beat that type of authority) in the coming weeks in addition to working as a doula (double whammy!). Her spanish was excellent and clear. We were able to follow along on the dolls available on location and by the end I felt much more competent at the idea of having to perform CPR or help dislodge an object from my future baby's air passage. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

Steven was fantastic!! I have been taking BLS for 15+ years and this is the best one I’ve ever taken. He made everything so fun, while being very knowledgeable and the time just flew. I wish I could take all of my recertifications with Steven. Don’t hesitate signing up for a course with him! Thanks so much, Steven!!! See you next time :)

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components • The importance of early AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use • Give breaths using a Bag Valve Mask (BVM) and a CPR pocket Mask • Perform as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR • Choking adults and infants
You would first contact your previous CPR provider to see if they can renew your CPR card. If you can’t remember the previous provider google “CPR Classes near me”. Choose either an authorized American Heart Association training center or an American Red Cross authorize provider. The ARC is great place to learn CPR and AED. But, you would choose AHA if you're a medical person.
No, not at all. They are both distinctly different classes. BLS teaches CPR to medicall persons. First Aid teaches anyone how to handle breathing , bleeding, and other life threatening emergencies
Basic Life support is not in any form First Aid. BLS is CPR.
No, Basic Life support or BLS is CPR specifically designed for Nurses, Doctors, Respiratory Therapist, Paramedics, Emt's, and anyone involved with or working on a medical team. It is vastly different than regular CPR.
No, the American Heart Association is the preferred certifying agency for hospitals, and most if not all medical personnel. The American Red Cross is a well trusted CPR certifying agency, also. “There is no such thing as Online CPR!” The AHA and The ARC both offer a blended learning BLS Providers course. Blended learning has two parts. First part is an online portion, that typically takes 1-2 hours to complete in the comfort of your own home, or anywhere that you have a laptop and internet access. The second part is the hands on Skills Session with an AHA or ARC instructor.
You can renew your CPR / BLS card with the previous Training center where you initially became certified. If you can’t recall the previous training center, google “CPR Certification Class near me”. Choose an Authorized AHA Training Center if you’re a Healthcare Provider, like a Nurse, Physician, Paramedic, Physical Therapist, Respiratory Therapist or if you work in the medical field. Choose an American Red Cross Authorized Provider if you’re a Personal Trainer, Physical fitness trainer, Child Care Worker, School Teacher, Security Guard, Nanny, School personnel, Tattoo artist, Maintenance worker, Police Officer, Firefighter, Camp Counselors, other individuals who wants or needs CPR AED training for job or certification needs.
