Fraud and the worst service. I made a purchase for the first time, ordered a 14ga (0.064") sterling silver sheet. The sheet I got was only 0.05" thick which corresponds to 17ga. When I wrote to solve the problem, manager said that "they checked their sheets" although I sent them a photo proof, and advised me to go to another shop. Good advice, Rio Grande, never again! I can't believe such a reputable company provides such bad service.

Got my wholesale account quickly and they were very understanding, I thought I would have more trouble because I'm just starting out my buisness but they were really nice about it. I received my first shipment and couldn't be any more happier, the quality is really good and people really like my finished products!

I am new to jewelry making and have found Rio to be very supportive and responsive to my needs. When I have had a problem, they are quick to resolve the issue.

We drove an hour to see a showroom in person today, be advised there is no retail store.

Walnut she'll with DL cream (if Rio still sells it) works very. well in med to.low power vibratory tumbling. The grade of cream I think is dl2. Been 40+ years since I used hundreds of pounds of it.
You can choose pick up from store when checking out, near where you add your shipping address
Use Penny Brite to remove oxidization. I had the same thing happen, I first wire brushed it with dishwashing liquid and then used Penny Brite and it worked perfectly!
Yes from 8:30 am to 5 pm!
A fine sand paper and after wash with either steel wool, Scotch bright pad and an Ajax type product. That will clean it up but will take a while. That's what we used when I took metalsmiting in college
Yes they do.
Rio does indeed teach. They have a course schedule online
Hi Gary, I would be happy to help with that. Not sure why that request was not responded to.

Yes. Argentium is a silver. It is purer than Sterling and less pure than fine silver. I, personally am not a fan of argentium but many of my friends use it. Use it just like any other silver.
Yes. I use 22 gauge for most of my work. I use 24 for additions like leaves, feathers and other decorative fabrications because it is easier to fold and form into things. I use 20 gauge for cuffs. You will like your pieces much better if you use a beefier, heavier, piece of silver. I hope this has been helpful.
I need a set of Catalogs of tools and fidings. Please send to my address is Philip Nguyen 3218 Landess Ave. #2 San Jose,CA 95132 Thank you so much
Not sure I understand the question. There are several different kind of earring backs. One is the post and it's made from 18 or 20 guage wire. A small hole is drilled into the silver, the wire is soldered into the hole. The wire is cut to desired length, filed round on the end.
