The platform apartments are an amazing place to live. I appreciate the great location and secure parking, elevators to all floors and the workout facilities. But more than those things, I truly appreciate the employees that I have met and worked with. They are professional and warm. We all know issues come up no matter where you live, but it’s the way those issues are handled that make all the difference. Thus staff is truly amazing, from the people in the office to the maintenance staff. I couldn’t recommend them more. You will love living here if you are looking for a place in south king county.

I just want to say thank you to our maintenance team especially October being maintenance appreciation month. This goes especially to Abdul who has done a tremendous job . All my work orders were met and he made sure there was no other issue . DId i mention how friendly he is and always offering help and very respectful. Platform is lucky to have you on their team. Also Shoutout to our new management team i almost moved out with the old one . Glad to have a new team that actually cares about the residents concerns and responds timley . Amy being my favorite , i have gone to the office many times and she always welcomes me with a smile and answers any concerns that i may have. Thank you! Hopefully we get to have u all for a long time.

Moved into The Platform this past August. The space in our two bedroom is excellent, storage in unit excellent. We are very happy here. The people who live in this building are without exception very nice. Being in downtown Kent is also a pleasure. Love the City Park in front of the building. Management is very responsive to any issues. We wish we had found this place two years ago!

Before I moved in, the leasing office (specifically Jasmine) was extremely helpful and straightforward with me! Everyone was friendly right off the bat as soon as I walked in. I never felt the pressure of signing on the spot like I did with other apartments. Whenever I have had issues, maintenance has always been quick to fix anything in my apartment and would let me know immediately if a problem would take longer to fix instead of leading me on. Not only is this walking distance from the train station, but there is great restaurants and activities to do around here. Definitely would recommend this place to others!

Questions & Answers

I'm sensitive to noise level so I'd like to know about the sound insulation. Is the building concrete/steel? Is it drywall? Do the walls and ceilings sound hollow when you knock on them? Can you hear traffic at the night? How the noise monitored?

If you're sensitive to noise, this is not the neighborhood for you. Not because of the internal sound—I am rarely bothered by my neighbors—but because the nearby train tracks will drive you insane at night with the freight traffic.

How much rent in a month

I pay about $1700 for a one-bed including water/sewer/garbage. Base rent is $1636, but with inflation the way it is, that rises every time a new place comes on the market.
