I don't know why there's so many negative reviews for this location. The only issue I've ever had is with the front desk being understaffed. It's my understanding that they answer phones and check in patients and there have been times when I've had upwards of 30 minute wait times on the phone. Other than that most of the nurses are very nice I've only had a few that seem to have a bad day. Dr. Hemmen is the best, especially if you don't like going to the doctor, she is quick and to the point, no extra fluff. I think this location could be improved if maybe doctors took on less patients because it can be kind of a long wait to get in other than that I have liked going to this clinic.

I use to love this office, ever since one of the doctor's left they are very unorganized. Some doctors are very unprofessional...My family has been coming for year's and always been satisfied...This office has lost respect for some patients. I was told my family can pick a different doctor, we did that the doctor said he was not taken new patients SMH...They give people the run around , they are the doctors not us.. . Racial profiling Doctor disrespect I'm getting a lawyer i did a follow up after the ER visit and the doctor did nothing regarding my follow up appointment, I have been falling, leg numb, etc..Still nothing after 3 weeks.. Good luck

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. My guess is due to the many different doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and front desk staff, the experience must be vastly different across each one. Pros: I've only had one appointment to discuss specific health issues, but so far, I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Johnny Shum; he was timely, professional, highly relational, caring, compassionate, non-judgmental, attentive, and thorough; he spent a lot of time with me and made sure to answer all of my questions and that I left feeling informed and confident about my health; he is also very knowledgeable, which allowed me to trust his expertise in medicine; it is also worth mentioning he is a person of color who is committed to LGBTQ+ health, including prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), a common HIV prevention drug used in the gay community that one of my previous doctors had little to no knowledge of; his Medical Assistant, Jennifer, was also incredibly friendly, attentive, and caring of my experience; both my Doctor and Medical Assistant provided a positive experience and were great listeners; I did not wait long in the waiting room until being called back for my exam (although it could be because I was the last patient of the day with a 4:45 pm appointment); lots of free parking in the spacious parking lot; I already have my follow-up appointment and annual physical scheduled because I cannot wait to return (and will update my review after my next appointment); every time I call, the receptionist discloses a privacy notice and verifies personal information before discussing health-related information (a good practice for privacy protection) Cons: I can sort of see why other patients had negative experiences with the front desk staff, but it wasn't necessarily awful, just not the friendliest; the person I initially spoke with over the phone to schedule my first appointment spelled my last name and email address incorrectly (however, there are many factors that could've contributed to this, so I don't hold it against her); the front desk staff member I talked to in person was able to quickly correct my information--she was not the friendliest, but was not rude, either...I actually found her very helpful as she was open to printing copies of my signed documents and articulating policy clearly and thoroughly; it also took a little bit of time (a couple months) for me to finally get scheduled (which could mean that Dr. Shum is very popular and good at his job)--however, they did have a wait list and promised to call me if an opening arose, which I appreciated; no real cons to this organization

I couldn't wait to go meet my primary care doctor . I was very excited and today meeting her for the first time was such a bad experience. She came in like she wasn't ready to see me. She asked why I was there I told her about my h.pylori then she asked if I still have pains I told her no. Then she said you good to go and she said you can always go to urgent care if you not well, so I asked her if I need to take any test to make sure am good, she said yeahh we can do that , she gave me the form to go to the lab and that was it. I was confused. No body exam , nothing..she barely spent 10mins with me. Will NEVER EVER see that doctor again. Looking for another primary care I hope I find a good one.
