Holiday Inn Chattanooga - Hamilton Place

This isn’t a Holiday Inn. It’s under complete construction to become a Double Tree which we didn’t know until we arrived. Forced to walk through housekeeping/food service areas to access service elevators to get to room. They shouldn’t be taking reservations. No breakfast.

Lacking towels, cleanliness, service and not near restaurants that are easily walkable. Breakfast not included. Beds are decent. Found a golf glove in my room hanging on the lamp from the previous guest and a bunch of hairs in the bathroom so whoever “cleaned” the room did the minimum.

Well, this site was definitely a disappointment. For one... none of the front desk staff wore masks, if they were even at the front to begin with. Most of the time the front desk was vacant. At one point, we stood in the lobby for a solid 10 minutes waiting on someone so we could ask for some towels (since the ones in our room had been taken during the servicing of our room). The ice machine on our floor was not working, but there was no sign directing us to another floor for ice. When I notified the desk they just said it's on the service list. I also notified them of the toilet paper holder that was about to fall off the wall, to which they replied "Yeah, we know about that". As for the view from our room... it was of the rooftop of the pool. Don't expect a breakfast at this hotel, unless you are ready to pay for it. Definitely not staying with this hotel again ever. And honestly, it left a bad taste in the mouth for Holiday Inn in general.

I’m only giving it 3 stars because of the gentleman running the front desk and breakfast. He was absolutely an amazing help! But other than that it was really disappointing. The room was dirty with dirty towels. The sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain. At least the bed sheets seemed clean. I would not stay here again. This hotel definitely needs to renovate their rooms.
