VERY DISAPPOINTED. I've stayed here in the past and had a great experience. Unfortunately this time around wasn't as pleasant. I recently had to stay in Chattanooga again for a night and thought I'd return to this hotel. I was highly disappointed this time around. It was horrible. We reserved a room and checked in later in the evening after a long drive. The room given to us was more liked an after thought. First of all we couldn't find it and when we did it was tucked away behind the ice machine. Should have been my first clue. We opened the door and walk down a long hallway to a room with a bed, TV, two old night stands and a chair that looked liked it came from a yard sale. The room had no carpet and the bathroom had a very old shower/tub with mold and a musty smell. The floors were filthy and we found some creepy crawlers. No pictures on the walls or color. I think this room was either a storage room or a room for a janitor/staff to rest and clean-up and they decided to turn it into a guest room. It look NOTHING like the pictures on their site, nor like I remembered in the past. Unfortunately we were stuck with the room because they were booked solid as well as other hotels in the area. We were exhausted and needed to sleep. The sheets were grimy and moist and I felt dirty all night. Couldn't get out of there fast enough in the morning. Didn't even want to try the breakfast, because if the room was that bad can't imagine the food. The ONLY good thing about the place was the hotel clerk who checked us in. He was friendly and very efficient.

The cost of our 1 night stay was $250.00. Upon entrance, we noticed the cookie display had old, crumpled parchment paper, with 1 bite of a cookie in the display. Literally, 1 bite of a cookie. Someone had taken a bite and put it back in the display and that was all that was in the display. The hallway carpets were filthy. We were put in a Handicapped Accessible room, although we had no need for one, nor did we ask for one. We were not told that we were being put in a HA room. The room had a grimy feel to it. The floors were gritty and the bathroom felt slimy. The room smelled damp and musty, which made the bedspread and sheets feel damp. The breakfast bar was entirely starches. There was not a single ounce of meat on the bar. For $250.00 you’d think they could put an egg, a piece of bacon or sausage on it, or something!! The icing on the cake was, I was sent a survey request by Country Inn and I filled it out with a poor score. Their response was that they were sorry I was not satisfied with my stay and that management would get back with me shortly. After not hearing back from them before we checked out, I texted them back, and again they said they would be in contact with me soon. It’s been two weeks, and they’ve not contacted me. This is definitely a $59.99 motel. BUT, their Staff was their saving grace. The Desk Clerk and the Breakfast Attendant were kind, helpful and wonderful assets to their poor management.

Expectations did not meet reality. We have stayed at other Country Inns and loved them. The decor was depressing at best, not one picture. The bathroom toilet ran all night. There was no hairdryer and when we asked For one we were told they had no extras. Our room was right next to an exit door that slammed shut all night and bright and early. We were told on check in if we didn't like our room no others were available. That probably should have been our sign!. When housekeeping came she just walked in without knocking at 9:00. I was in the middle of dressing. Now it was clean. We paid for an upgraded room.. not sure what the upgrade was, they put us in a handicap room?

The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well lit. The room was perfect for our dog as there was no carpet. Microwave and fridge in room were nice additions. Front staff was helpful and breakfast had a solid selection of waffles, cereals, banana and muffins. Front staff was helpful with all the information needed. I would stay here again. Only suggestion would be to put a waste basket in the bathroom and add another hook. Thank you!
