I don’t live in Maryland never had, they called my phone number however they managed to get it. I suspected it might’ve been fraudulent so I asked a couple of questions and then was cussed out and hung up on. The man on the other end of the phone said his name was Michael Smith. Told me there was lots of suspicious activity but could not verify what it was. They also wanted payment to prevent my Social Security number from being suspended. They should be investigated.

The easiest thing to do is go into the office with your birth certificate to confirm it for them so they can correct it.

I was never told I could. Bring it in or mail it, or do it online are the only ways that I know of.
Download form w-4V from irs.gov website. Complete rate, sign and submit to SSA office for voluntary federal withholding. Voluntary State tax cannot be held from SSA check.
does the year in which you start collecting social security begin on the date that you got the first payment or does it begin jan 1 and end dec 31? reason for asking is for tracking the amount that can be made while collecting

The year runs from January to December, but your actual year starts the month u started receiving payments. U should get a coat of living increase in January.
Those are currently not available at the Social Security Administration until after the filing season. You may be able to request your wage and income transcript from the IRS.
