The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude to every single person that entered, no matter how polite the people were. I guess being rude to everyone is a requirement to be a front desk receptionist here.

Receptionist was very rude and did not try to help. You are told to sign in at the kiosk, sit and wait, and if you ask questions you are snapped at. Try "sure, just sign in at the kiosk and we'll be right with you," or "oh, it should only be about 15-20 minutes" with a smile instead of a scowl. Not everyone is a criminal or addict, and those who are should be treated with respect and compassion anyway; some of us have never had to go to a faceless lab for an employment drug test, which feels invasive and demeaning. Try to be a little sensitive to the humans you supposedly serve.

Every 6 months Labcorp processes my physicians orders for lab collections. I make an online appointment months prior to the visit. Answer questions on line, etc. Day of appointment I just hand my orders to staff, wait my turn then go to collection room. Done and leave. Have had really good experience with the blood draws. Staff is great on blood draws, virtually painless. Thanks again and will see you again in 6 months.

Today I wasted an hour of my time with this office. After scheduling, confirming an appointment, and checking in, I explained to the front desk person that, although my order from the doctor showed 10 tests, I only needed 1 of them done. (The other 9 were already in process at another lab.) She told me that she couldn't do the one test, I had to do all of them. Why? "Because if the doctor expects 10 results and she only gets 1, I could get in trouble." Is this how this woman, in mid-career, views herself, and/or the job views her? Is there no thought about serving the customer? I couldn't dissuade her, even though I know I've had only some tests off other orders completed at other labs. I hurried home and called my regular lab in Chicago, where I spend summers. And they confirmed they'll have no problem doing the single test off of that order. #poor service.

Questions & Answers

What are you doing to make sure the lab is safe for the patients to go in to have work done? Are you sanitizing the check in machine after each patient & wiping down the door knobs??

I try to be responsible for myself and clean, knob and machines if I'm carrying wipes or clean my hands after use. They can't clean the machine every minute, a handi wipe dispenser next to the machine would be a great idea!

Is this near Manatee Hospital?

No it's not. Far form Manatee Hospital. I would suggest looking on Google maps and see which one is closed. Some location (s) sometimes move about.. If you mean Blake Hospital,, I would use 5801 21st Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34209. It's across the road on the east side.
