Spoke with the clerk over civil cases today named Marianne, and when I tell you I’ve never had someone speak to me as rude and unprofessional as she did in my life. I am disgusted and in utter shock. I am transferring from Valdosta State and getting out of Valdosta this summer because the court system down here is very unprofessional, rigged, and quite scary.

When it comes to kangaroo court they break the mold. They seem to not like professionalism and seem to be intimidated by the fact you dress nice and show respect. They treat you like dirt and profile. Make sure you break out your Mickey Mouse or Sponge Bob pajamas if you have to go and they will probably treat you like somebody. I drove 10 hrs overnight and was 1st in courtroom and on docket they made me wait til last. There was several people sitting next to me nodding out drooling or sleeping in the court. Very unprofessional and don't want to hear what you have to say especially if your out of state. My state of Virginia was hit with severe winter storms and they told me I would still have to find a way out during a state of emergency and show up when I tried to get a continuance and they said no they would issue a bench warrant. I was forced to forfeit my bond because I couldn't get out to make the trip. Guess they wanted the money pretty bad. Never had seen a court that won't work with the people and don't message back until last min. If you break down in Valdosta you better push your ride out the state or hope triple A gets to you before the state police come to check on you. Would give -5 stars if I could.

Questions & Answers

How do I evict a person and take them to court for back rent

I would get an attorney asap. File a dispessesory, or whatever the attorney tells you to do. After you work that out, I would highly recommend hiring a company to take care of all that for you. They only take 10% of the rent to handle all of the headache. Best of luck, take pictures if possible to show the state of the house prior to filing the action.

Are eviction notices served on Saturday?
