Yesterday, Oct 24th I went to your Ace store to purchase some random hardware items. However, a sad political comment made by your check-out clerk has made it uncomfortable to come back through your doors. As I was waiting in line, the clerk was looking up a price for the customer in front of me. Upon finding the Halloween item, his exclamation was “Oh, we have the hanging ghoul….just what we ought to do to the ____.” Add in either of the parties and ask yourself is this what we wish to hear at any place we shop? A day later and this off comment about lynching still makes my stomach uneasy. I pray that civility somehow triumphs and soon. I truly wish you and your store, which we’ve shopped for 11 years, the best. But the ignorance of this clerk, who by his age should know better, makes it easy for us to shop elsewhere.

Normally any Ace Hardware I walk into I get 4 to 5 star service. But this Ace @ Scottsdale & pinnacle peak my experience is lacking that typically 5star service. On Sat 24th of September, I came in looking to pick up a this sweet little .22 pistol (cp33 keltec) it was on sale so I wanted to pick it up. The gentleman said I would need to come back tomorrow before 4pm to fill out the paperwork since it was 7pm. So I came back on Sunday exited about taking my new gun the range and seeing what it could do. But after completing all the paperwork and waiting about an hour, the store employee said their system was running slow and that typically they would call a customer back before they closed the saying that they could come back to pick the gin up. Or I'd I didn't receive a call by September 29th that I could come then and pick it up. But wasn't clear on weather I being delayed or denied. And since there isn't a mandatory 5day hold I found this rather odd. Especially since I own other fire arms and I'm not felon and do not pose a threat to myself or other, I'm unsure to what the hold is. I've called almost every day and they sat they are busy an they will find out an call me back. We'll I have yet to receive a call back and driving down there isn't the simplest of tasks for me. So I am not trying to take a pointless trip when they could just tell me what was up over the phone. Tomorrow is the 29th and if there's issue picking the gun up my review is probably gonna stay 2 stars or may be lowered to 1. If everything goes as the unclear employee said then I'll change it to a 3or4. I do feel I may be profiled a lil considering I was in the attire of a construction worker cuz I was working on my house that day. An since this a more expensive part of town I maybe didn't fit their typical customer so that may explain the lack of quality service? I do not know for certain, I'm just speculating since this experience has been a strange one.

Yes we do, and we swear by them. It's called Rid-A-Rat, and was invented locally in Cave Creek, Az! We also recommend putting a Rid-A-Rat device in your grill. Rats/mice like dark places where they much on your vehicle/BBQ wires, causing costly repairs. The device doesn't omit a sound, it's a continuous strobe light, which disorients the rodent, causing them to flee. We use them personally and haven't had any rodent problems since!
Yes! We sell new propane tanks, as well as propane exchanges, for VERY competitive pricing. If you're exchanging propane tanks, leave the tank outside the front doors (for safety reasons), and we will assist you at the register.
YES! For MUCH less than the dealerships charge! Visit us at our back service counter, and we will locate the correct key/FOB for your vehicle. Don't waste money at the dealerships, we are always less than them!
