They're very friendly although they couldn't help me for the situation I was calling about. But they were very helpful in getting me multiple referrals of people who could and recommendations.

Nancy Uko is everything that is wrong with family law. Before i go on, she did not represent me. She represented my ex. It is lawyers like her that perpetuate the BS family court system. Because of her and her "lawyer tactics" I went 10 months without seeing my daughter. Imagine caring about money so much your willing to try to ruin families. That's all it was about to her. When I got notification of my ex getting a lawyer, I tried to offer the sweetest deals out there to end it as quick as possible. All I wanted was my parenting time with my daughter. They denied them all only to have me mopping the floor with them in court and winning. It wasn't even about that for me. I just wanted things to be fair. She really tried to argue that my daughter was possibly not mine when I had 2 DNA tests and a signed acknowledgement of paternity. Her argument: We need a blood DNA test. She did no due diligence to see buccal and blood are equally accurate. She did everything to drag it on as long as possible like a typical family lawyer who says they care do. So why the five stars? Modern Law, Billie, had the greatest self representation videos out there. Billie does an amazing job at explaining things. I was able to use the info they had on their website and save thousands of dollars by representing myself and had the confidence needed to mop the floor with Nancy and her weak lawyer tactics and lies for the win! Thanks Modern Law!

No, we have $49 consultations or attorney consultations for $250.
From our vantage point, your appeal should be handled in a two-part process. First, we analyze your legal issues, the existing case law, and your objectives to determine your likelihood of success on appeal. Then we have a meeting to discuss our findings and propose a solution moving forward.
Parenting schedules afford parents physical custody of their kids. Local judges typically prefer to issue reasonable parenting time and contact with both parents, regardless of which party has legal custody. Likewise, parties who share joint legal access are not necessarily entitled to equal parenting time. If parties are unable to agree on a parenting schedule, a family court would likely issue a plan that maximizes the children’s time with both parents.
You do not need to avoid talking to your spouse during your divorce or family law case. You do need to avoid unproductive conversations or fighting with your spouse. You also want to avoid entering anti any agreements without talking with your attorney first. Agreements during a pending case can have a massive impact on the future of your case, so talk to a lawyer before you sign anything.
1. Be organized! 2. Gather the documents that your lawyer tells you they need within the deadlines you are assigned. 3. Communicate in a proactive fashion. Be on time to meetings. 4. Hire or speak to an attorney early on in your case to develop a strategy.
The average cost for a divorce with lawyers at modern law is about $6500. Your divorce may cost more or less depending on your specific case, whether you have children, how many issues you and your spouse disagree about. We also work with clients who represent themselves and come in for paralegal assisted divorce with I Do Over. Those clients spend an average of $2000 to complete their divorce.
