The front gate staff were so kind and courteous to us. The same day clinic staff and doctors are amazing! They really go the extra mile to make sure your medical needs are taken care of. Thank you!

I was only there to visit the Harris Health Clinic, but I am familiar with the Open Door and its mission to help people break their addictions.

Lovely staff and their mission is on point.

I would be there on Monday morning early. Very good program. Tell Sammy Freeman or Tommy Thompson Tim Shanks sent you. Great people. This is a special place. As long as you do your part there you'll be fine....
Ask the mission for support. Great group. If you need assistance, I can get you with a point of contact or just call them to setup an appointment.
You can return anytime
If you do the doorway program and your hair is long or not well kept they will require you to cut it...also have to be clean shaven everyday.
Sobriety is #1. While there, ODM students, there is help with housing (you live there) and transportation to medical and other approved appointments, is provided

Hello David. It is so good that you care enough to visit a friend. We all need support when we go through the program at Open Door Mission. God brought me through th complete that program in 2018. Visits are usually for family and are every first Saturday of the month. You can call the Open Door Mission and ask them for more details. Their number should be on google. Please write letters to your friend while he is there also. It is very encouraging. May God bless you
Do u guys have a number or some one I can call and talk to someone
I know someone that works there that can find out. Not sure why you can't just call main number. I'll help you find out.
Go as you are . Open Door Mission is receptive if you are willing to help yourself . If you are inclined to listen and be assisted and directed, this fear of God annointed Institution will make you be all you want to be . Just SHOW UP AND ASK . Mondays and Tuesdays before 7 o'clock sharp . Enter to get some fruitful healing from our Lord Jesus Christ . Amen !
Thanks but I called today they said no, that I couldn't park it there. I have nobody here so it seems to me there not worried about the individual they won't the ones that are totally stuck and without so your be totally under there rein. So I guess I'll be homeless after all and sleeping in my van just after recently having a heart attack. The star of hope gives false hope.
Man Virgil shearer. You taught me a lot in the short time I met you. I can't believe your gone 😢
No, you live in the Mission for more than 4 months. After your first 30 days there, you can sign up to go to church and a few other places. This place has a great program; It is totally worth the restrictions. I went through this program and graduated in July 2018. I was addicted to ecstasy, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and alcohol. Jesus Christ saved me from all of that while I was on the Open Door Mission. They feed you well, they have clothes for you, the beds are comfortable. It is really a great place. If you are struggling with addiction, only Jesus can truly set you free and this is where he has done it for me and many other men. I would really suggest going here. May God bless you and change you.
Its controlled but you can ask them. It is a great place it helped some o e I loved but at first they get a little antsy being in controlled environment but I've seen it work out real well.
The Open Door Mission is a men's only facility for the treatment of substance abuse. Star of Hope has a women and children's facility on 419 Dowling street, Houston TX however. Have you tried there? May God bless you amd guide you in your search
The students/residents at the Open Door Mission have access to a pay phone. They can use it after their first 30 days in tje program, but they do need quarters to use it. I hope this helps, and I am sorry for the late response. May God bless you
