Ballad is a must stop anytime we’re traveling between Houston and Austin. We actually go out of our way and use 290 instead of I10/71 just so that we can stop halfway and grab a coffee and browse the new stuff at BOTBD. Brenham is lucky to have such a hip little business, and the owners are clearly a massive part of the revitalization of the Brenham’s downtown area.

My wife and I were in Brenham for a wedding and just happened to walk into Bird Dog. We ended up each getting some of the softest t shirts either of us own, each with it’s own Bird Dog logo. Highly recommend their merchandise and the employees are personable and friendly!

4/5/2020 I absolutely love supporting small businesses. I am so happy I came upon this place when searching for some Red Wing boots on the internet. The name of the business was eye catching, and once I read their story I felt compelled to purchase through them instead of one of the larger retailers. Since, I received email communications from them that have a warm and personal feel to them, and hours after placing my order I received a shipment notification. Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience! The next time I visit TX I HAVE TO visit your shop :) 5/25/2022 I’ve purchased several pairs of boots, since that first review, 2 years ago. Boots always arrive quickly and are neatly packaged. I will continue supporting this family owned business.
