Members of Nehalem Bay UMC are very involved and welcoming with their community. Potluck dinner follows Sunday worship with everyone encouraged to join the meal. Several of our outreach missions: Warm Welcome on Friday and Saturday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) which now includes a small food pantry as well as a place to relax with a cup of coffee and conversation. Homeless Outreach is a mission reaching out to our homeless neighbors in the area with food, a few necessities as well as information on other help in the area. CHILD, Christ's Hands In Loving Devotion, is another mission of Nehalem Bay UMC that helps provide some local children from families in need with back to school supplies and clothing as well as Christmas gifts. In our first year, Christmas 2017, CHILD provided gifts for 69 children from 28 families. This is not only through donations from our congregation but also the generosity of of the entire community. Nehalem Bay UMC is involved and supportive of the Love Coalition, hosting and providing meals for functions. Senior Meals are on Tuesday and Thursday at noon in the Fellowship Hall.
