Really pretty and nice park with pavilions and a great view. Free day use. Great access to the North Shore trail. The trail is is great for a quiet hike with dogs. Not too difficult but just challenging enough to keep it interesting.

Murrell Park has many tucked away surprises. Trails to explore. Wildlife to watch. The area is beautiful. During the week it is deserted. Take in the fresh air and beauty.

Right now it is free for day use. People seemed to put them in the water in various places. Especially turn left & drive around till you come to another area & they were launching them in that area
May be because for day use it's free.... if you want to do a night stay their is a fee of $10
Yes! Just book it on Recreational.com to make sure the camp grounds are available.
Yes and yes. Camping will depend on park conditions though. Spring flooding had many sites closed early in the year. It's best to check before with FM parks. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/234628/availability
Yes it is Kenny https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/234628
No. It is a day use only. Mostly trail hikers and mountain bikes. Police patrol is heavy and they are on the trails with their bikes too.
If you are mountain biking, there is not a charge.
Depends on the place your renting from. I'd call the number listed online and go from there. Shop around.
No. Only primitive tenting .
Hmm, maybe 🤔. But please be considerate of others. And watch out for oblivious bikers. They don't even glance to see if a car is coming.
Yes,
Murrell Park is normally open year round; however at this time they have closed the park to do road maintenance throughout the entire Park complex... I received this information directly from Corp of engineers employees as I was actually camping there three weeks ago. It should be open again by the end of March. Hope this helps.
Nop
Online. It's the best way to reserve a spot and pay, screenshot your receipt in case of any power outage.
White bass and some catcfish
Mostly wooded trails, they occasionally cut across the road.
No, as long as the park isn't flooded, it opens at 6 AM. You can hike or bike starting then.
They were flooded
Flooding

Doubt it, but you can always go to the website to find out
There are tons of different trails. I would suggest downloading alltrails app
Yes
Park is still closed
There are no life guards on duty and the marked swim areas are swim at your own risk.
I don't know how to look up your review Bayou city Bassin'. Any suggestions? There's no search bar for Google guides reviews.
Camping is $10 you have to have a license to fish with in the state of Texas anywhere
Not sure if its free. Fishing is free though from the banks. Currently its flooded and boat ramps are closed.
Dont know why not
No Sir. Please see the US Army Corps of Engineers publc website FAQs: http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/belton/faq.asp "May I have a firearm in the park? A concealed handgun permit is not valid on Federal property. The possession of a firearm and/or ammunition is prohibited."
Yes
Yes, the sign at the entrance shows 6am as the park open time for every day of the week
There are public restroom facilities but there are no showers at any public parks on grapevine lake
Sarah, when the trail is closed, it is closed for biking and walking. DORBA website will post when the trails are closed. Best to check before heading out.
There are playgrounds in parks on the south side of the lake. Lakeview Park, for one, does.
The guy that rents kayaks has been working out of Lakevew Park most recently. Ive seen him take groups out many times this summer.
Not at this time. There are rv hookups for the park hosts so if you volunteer some time you get a rv camping privileges
