Sarah, when the trail is closed, it is closed for biking and walking. DORBA website will post when the trails are closed. Best to check before heading out.
DORBA lists the trails as OPEN right now so you can assume the mud is minimal, as they normally close the trails if muddy to prevent rutting and accelerated erosion.
