No one answers the phone. Have been trying for two weeks to schedule an appointment for a pacemaker check that is due. From the reviews I see that this is not a new problem. What in the world is going on? Totally unacceptable!!!

Called and talked to them about medication running up blood sugar, said they would call me back. But I'm not important enough I guess. And if this were something serious because I do have several cardiac issues and I were to pass away. I can't begin to imagine how much they would be sued for my wife would go for it, and there wouldn't be any excuse on there part, pure negligence.

Wait times are absolutely terrible. Not very accessible for powerchairs. Bedside manner inconsistent, and I once got some srsly contaminated food items at the cafe. Reception has always been fantastic, although the person manning the waiting area desk was rather rude and somewhat stigmatizing at my last visit.

If I could rate this office 0 stars, I would. I saw a provider here almost 5 years ago to make sure the palpitations I get (very rarely) weren't a big issue. Fast forward to February of this year. I have been having spasms in my sternum and upper abdomen. My pulmonologist was concerned it could be my heart since it was recorded on one EKG that I had a shortened PR interval. He told me to stop everything until I can be seen at the cardiologist. He also told me if I didn't hear from them within a week, to call them and schedule. I called the cardiologist office 8 days later and was told they had received my referral but that they wouldn't schedule me without my previous cardiology medical records. I work at a specialists office, and can tell you from personal experience that past medical records are convenient to have, so they know what tests you have had done previously, but are absolutely NOT necessary to receive care. A referral is all that is required to see a specialist (and even then, sometimes not required by insurance). I told her that the only cardiologist that I had ever seen was at their own office and her words were, "....oh." I asked if I could schedule while waiting for them to get those (from their own system) and she still refused to schedule my appointment. Not having previous medical records is not a good reason for a medical office or provider to refuse medically necessary care. It is also unacceptable that every customer service representative you speak to is rude, and not helpful. It is against AMA Code of Medical Ethics to inadequately keep records. This same code of medical ethics dictates that patients have the right to courtesy, respect, dignity, and timely responsive attention to his or her needs. This office falls short in every category. Save yourself some frustration and have your referral sent to a different cardiologist.

No, they aren't surgeons. There is one though, right up the street from them
Call the office, unfortunately referrals are backed up and they are doing they best they can. We tell patients to wait about 10-14 business days for a call. If you want it faster youll have to call and see where they are at with the referal.
If they're like pulmonology you need a referral then leave a message. No one answers phones any more.
