The only good part of this place was my old nurse practitioner who is now gone. I second time I called, I had the front desk lady yell at me on the phone. I think I was trying to schedule a blood draw and asked a question that she didn't know the answer to. Today, when I went to request my files be transferred to my new doctor, they didn't even give me a clipboard. Their counter isn't big enough to write on, and there are no tables. I had to sit on the hardwood floor. If you're looking for a place with a warm, welcoming staff, this is not it.

I've been on a medication that I NEED and have been on for two years, the alternatives to this medication either make me depressed or give me convulsions. Maria Gandara refused to continue my prescription because she believed a fairly harmless hormone blocker was a "chemotherapy drug" simply because it happens to be used in conjunction with chemotherapy drugs for ONE of the reasons this drug is prescribed, which is NOT the reason it was prescribed to me It's deeply sad when the patient knows more medically and pharmaceutically than their own GP and aforementioned GP is so immature and unprofessional that they refuse to do any research because they "must know better" than the person who has been taking this drug for about two years safely because the alternatives are DANGEROUS. The receptionist tramples and streamrolls straight over anything you try to say that isn't getting to the point and comes off as deeply insensitive and rude. If you have a choice, DON'T COME HERE, especially if your medical coverage costs you money, they don't deserve a cent of what you make.

I have had very disappointing experiences here. I’m fairly new to the area and needed to get a refill on my thyroid medication shortly after moving here. I called to get established and get my medical records transferred. I also asked if I could get a 30 day refill to tide me over until my appointment. If not, I’d run out a week before my appointment. They absolutely refused to help me with this in any way. I asked to move my appointment up and they weren’t able to. That was a horrible week without my thyroid medication. I asked for the refill during the appointment and was informed that their policy is that all refills must be requested by the pharmacy and to call my pharmacy. I’d never refilled in Washington state before but if they’d told me that when I made the appointment, the week would’ve been much easier. My second experience was just as frustrating. My appointment was canceled due to weather but by the time I got rescheduled my chronic skin condition was in a better phase so I essentially paid a $40 copay to be told to use better moisturizer. She did give me a prescription after further conversation that she said may help. I would prefer to have a referral to a determatologist but she didn’t agree. I feel like the office exists for the convenience of the front staff and the providers not for the patients and that is not ok. Patients deserve better than this.

I have been to many health care providers in my long life, but never to ones as good as Eastside Health Care. Nancy Armstrong is a fantastic and thorough provider, she is fast but does not sacrifice her patients health in the interest of time. The support staff is also very kind and always smiling and supportive and they are all assets to Eastside Health Care. I would recommend Eastside Health Care to my close Friends and Family and anyone who is looking for excellent health care.

The best thing to do is call and ask if they are accepting new patients. They do accept some state insurance.
