I call this place No Hope Resource Center because I hardly see anybody getting up and off the street from there.

New Hope works day in and day to to resolve the existing problem of homelessness in the community. There was a cry for help and they came to answer. Their goal is to help individuals who are homeless, for various reasons, get the mental health and drug counseling, housing and job opportunities, as well as feeding and clothing them as items are donated and available. And many other valuable services that help and encourage improvement in personal life-quality and making a positive impact in the community. Definately a place worth volunteering and a great way to help others in need.

Questions & Answers

Does shelter accept donations?

Yes! The ladies at the desk inside the door to the right are SUPER NICE 🙂 They answered every question & the older gentleman was very helpful; even despite the fact that they were closing up for the day, they all still helped me. And there was a box outside with hats, blankets, water bottles etc .. They take clothes, toiletries, bedding, camping equipment (highly needed) & even give out tobacco & papers so the "pavement homeless" like my little brother, don't dig in the downtown Puyallup area's well known ashtrays located in front of businesses. Some disagree with handing out sandwich bags of tobacco & rolling papers; but I don't! And nary a store nearby seems to be complaining.
