We love living at Sunset Gardens. It is great community, and there are so many caring people. The staff are so kind and caring. We feel safe, and that means a lot.

The apartments are very well maintained. Kimberly works hard to advocate for the low fixed income seniors. The community could use more places like this with excellent public serving staff.

This place has made life harder than it needs to be for my mother. No parking for visitors, no keys for family to enter, no one available in the office for assistance. Shame on the managers for treating our seniors like this!

I bet the reviewer is telling the truth based on my experiences trying to become a tennant and failing I'm a pretty good judge on things like this so thumbs down on Shag. Remember there are always companies trying to game the system for government money and Shag seems like a prime example. They also dodge phone calls and pass blame I have noticed

If SSA is only income I would try for other apartments....I'm a caregiver for 2 people who live in SHAG Sunset Gardens and they struggle because SHAG raises rent every time social security goes up. They charge for everything, including parking spots and only have 1 spot available for guests, for the entire property, ALL 3 buildings!
You would be better off calling them and asking, all I know is you can only live there if you make under a certain amount.
There isn't much gas parking at all There's about 2 spots per building there's 3 buildings
There's Wi-Fi in the common room but if you want a new room you have to get Comcast
My aunt and uncle live there we went to visit them and I'm pretty sure they said that small animals are okay but I'm not sure. You might want to call and ask them to make sure
Yes they do
I only know that my Mother-in-law only has her social security. Ok..this is what the folks there do...If they have a nest egg they put it in their childs name and then they can truthfully say they only have their social security. Its a little underhanded, I know. But honestly how is anyone supposed to live on just SS? I will say this...They are 2/3 complete, in all three buildings, with a complete makeover. New carpets..new linoleum..new appliances, new paint. New recreation rooms..new court yards...The whole 9 yards. I think you will like it.
One bed and bathroom.
I don"t know.
