LANDLORD BEWARE! I rented a beautiful, clean, nice area house to a section 8 family and they have severely damaged my house in less than 1-1/2 years. (broken doors, fixtures, holes in walls, broken vanity, broken smoke detectors, broken stove, broken stairs, broken window, pest, extra people, and more) Our house failed the inspection due to the tenant's negligence, but when I got the notice from HHA they made the Landlord's responsibility. The realtor warned me not to paint the house or worry about given tenants a neat house, she said they don't appreciate it and they will trash properties. At the time I felt horrible to treat Sec 8 tenants different not to prepare our rental home the same way as I have done it for other non sect 8 tenants; I felt no one deserves less just because the government is paying their rent so I ignored her words. Boy! she was so right, here I am posting this review to warn landlords, no matter how good you are or how beautiful the property is most of them don't care. I ignored all the warnings I read, don't make the same mistake. Interview your future tenants at their current home to see how they keep the property.

Look for regular apartments and not low income... Housing, HUD, and public housing has waiting lists
Use google and google housing authority in whatever city you want to move. Contact your sec.8 worker and they will port you. Also if its Domestic they hadle it alot quicker. And use google maps to browse areas. In 3D mode.

You have to choose somewhere else to live
Stop by or call before going to these low income apartments because every apartment do there application waiting list on different days. All of your income will be added from all sources to determine how much you pay. More income equal more rent due. Less income equal less you pay. Then there will be a deposit due before move in and a bunch or signing to do..😂
