so cool!!! the place had such an awesome vintage vibe, as all the equipment was original to the 1930s. They played music from the period and had all original seating. Duckpin bowling is definitely harder than normal, but it was really really cool and an experience i highly recommend. if you enter on the ground floor, go up the stairs until you see a door that is clearly marked bowling. this was the only confusing/shady seeming part, after you reach the door it is totally clear where to go!

Visited here last weekend with a group of friends. Very cool vibe in a historic building. Although the lanes could probably use a bit of love. They are very old and worn down, but maybe they want to keep it that way? You also need to keep score manually; maybe that adds to the vibe? Also, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Everything sort of added up to a "historical feel". But, it was more of a "run down" than "preserved" feel in my opinion. Definitely worth a visit, but not 5 stars in my opinion.

Hey! This was a good time!! Fountain Square is a pretty neat bit of town too... We started at Imbibe, the drink menu was quite expansive and the El Guapo was purty tasty! Just be sure to grab your game pieces from the bartender BEFORE you head upstairs to the game room. Speaking of the Game Room, it's niiiiiice! Lots of pool tables, seating, and tables. I could have spent hours wandering around the building. My reservation for duckpin bowling was in the basement (I've heard that the 4th floor lanes are better?🤷) the lanes were a disaster BUT that means you just get to launch the ball down like a fing shotput!! And the atmosphere was a time capsule! And the bar area was good enough to keep the good times rolling! The only drawback was the cost- $40/hr. So after 2 hours of play, cocktails for 2, and a souvenir it was a $200 night... But I'll definitely be back!🎳🍹

This place is preserved from the 1930s. We had so much fun playing and feeling like walking into a time machine. It was so cool to see what I’ve seen in the movies. The game is recorded on a sheet of paper, which makes it all the more fun to figure the game out. This was a highlight of my trip to Indy. I really recommend!

Lots of street parking.
Yes! Depending on their ages - very young children may not enjoy but older kids will enjoy the retro atmosphere and trying something new
Reservations are recommended. If you don't make one, it just depends on if they have open lanes when u show up. I don't remember the cost, sorry.
I would try the pnc parking lot?
YES! Action bowl has one vintage billiards table. The Imbibe Bar & Gameroom (Shelby side) has 5 pool tables along with darts, Pingpong, Shuffleboard and Fusball. http://www.fountainsquareindy.com/food-drink/imbibe-lobby-bar/overview/
One alley is an authentic alley from the 1930's that was moved to the space piece by piece. You feel like you've been transported back in time when you're there. The other alley is from the 1950's. Definitely not like the Pins mechanical mini bowling lanes.
$40 per lane per hour, this includes bowling shoes for up to 6 people. 5 people will finish a full game of 10 frames in one hour, so that would be $8 per person per game.
