Moved here 2-3 years ago and liked the place. It seemed like a good value. It's gradually lost it's sparkle and appears to be going downhill. The owners/management seem to have shifted their priorities since I moved in, or maybe their priorities have just become clearer over time. The parking was bad when I moved in and still is, no visitor spaces or guest passes available. The parking lot across the street is not safe for overnight parking if you have guests. Contractor equipment was taking up parking spaces for long periods of time (6+ months) and made the parking lot less safe as it narrowed the entrance/exit where kids get on and off the bus. Many fixes that I've found in my own apartment are cheaply done (shower surround, cabinets, closets, etc), which I would be fine with if they didn't try to charge tenants for them on moveout. My rent is supposed to go up nearly 20% if I renew (I don't think I will). I can afford it, but it no longer seems worth it to me.

This apartment had a bad tub in our guest bath whose surface started chipping off. When we move out they put the blame on us and are trying to get us to pay for it. They have all kinds of cleaning charges. Be sure to keep in mind that you’d never get your security deposit back and be ready to pay more on top of it (I have always gotten full security deposit back in all my other apartments). So this says something about the management. I wouldn’t recommend moving here!

I have lived in Park Hill for almost 4 years and have no complaints at all -enjoyed living here with my family. I would like to thank Jermaine and Ben for making my time here exceptional, these guys do a fantastic job of taking care of their tenants. I can't say enough about the maintenance crew, Ted, Maurice, Reza, Josh. They were professional, on-time and very friendly whenever I needed their help to fix things in my apartment. I would highly recommend Park Hill for anyone looking to live in beautiful Issaquah. Thank you all for everything you do, I really appreciate it!

We were here for a year. My review is related to the unit we had and the safety of this community. The first couple of months we were here, the bathtub paint started peeling and cracking. Once we complained it took them a few days to respond and then few days to schedule the repair. The repair was a spray of a chemical for the whole bathtub. The company to fix this arrived and told us we cannot stay in the apartment while they spray the bathtub. We had to get a hotel room while the chemical dried off. There was no advance notice that this would be needed. Having 2 young children and needing place to work, we had to get a place to stay. It turned expensive. And even when we got back the next day, it smelled horrible for days. While we were there the paint was constantly coming off all the doors, like a wallpaper peeling or something. We complained but it wasn't fixed. and also it happened so often that we stopped reporting everytime. The hot water lasted for a very short time, may be less than 5 mins. When we reported this issue. the guy came and said he fixed the issue. All he did was raise the temperature so the water would be hotter but not last longer. One person would shower for less than 5 mins and the water would turn cold. We also had a burglary happen while we were on vacation. Almost everything was taken. The burglars knew where exactly everything was. only 2 rooms were invaded but almost all the valuables were gone, including our 2 cars. It was very simple for them to break in. When i shared this on facebook, lot of other previous tenants and neighbors came forward sharing their own unsafe incidents. (bike stolen, needles found, homeless walking around, empty unit being broken into.) They also stole our cars. It took them days before our lock was fixed.Even when they saw the lock broken before we arrived on vacation, they waited till we reported in after our vacation to fix it. And even then it took them 2/3 days to find something to fix the lock. They claim to have a night patrol, how did a night patrol not catch this. The door had a hole in it for days before we suspected the burglary while on vacation. Right before we left, they also sent notices that the cars are getting broken into. Our neighbor had their car broken into and things were stolen. This was temporary place for us rent was reasonable. But we had the worst experience renting this unit.

Select Essex communities offer homes that may be considered rent controlled. Availability and leasing terms are subject to change at any time. Essex also offers below-market rent (“BMR”) programs at select communities. While this is not a rental assistance program, BMR units may be available to residents who qualify based on their annual household income and the number of individuals living in their household.
