Staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. Doors are locked all day to ensure safety - as it’s in a downtown location with homeless population. Felt very safe and very welcomed. Room was very nice, clean and staff chose one with a view for us. Within walking distance to parks and a variety of restaurants and pubs. Very lovely stay.

Typical Hampton that represents a more affordable room in the Hilton chain. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. AC is a little on the loud side and they have discontinued the practice of room upgrades. Hotel has all the amenities you would expect including pool, gym, business center and laundry room. Hotel does have a complimentary breakfast.

I usually choose Hamptons when I have to travel. This location was extremely clean! We loved the large shower in our King room. The breakfast was hot & had a lot of options. The front desk clerks were so friendly and helpful! The 4 stars on the location are more of a comment on how Salt Lake City needs to invest in the community more.

I stay exclusively at Hilton hotels. Everything was fine right up until they didn't turn my room down. I came in late from work and ignored it and went to bed. The next morning I went down to have breakfast and I was barefoot. I needed to get soap and washcloths while I was down there since they didn't restock my room. While eating breakfast, a young guy raised his voice at me telling me I needed shoes. I calmly told him that I wasn't going to put shoes on, as I am already there and having breakfast, and he proceeds to raise his voice louder at me telling me to put on shoes. I kept my calm and just told him that I'm not and continued on to have my breakfast. Next, I go request items to clean myself with which was a reasonable interaction but with little apology nor remorse as you might expect.. but whatever. I'm told that they will send it right to to my room. I get up to my room and my phone rings immediately in the room. It's the front desk telling me that my credit card was declined. I told her that i would handle it when i come back down after showering and getting ready for work. I hate to believe this however, the front desk attendant was literally holding my soap and towels hostage. I know this because it was nearly 10 minutes after the call that housekeeping showed up to bring my things. I took care of the issue with the credit card company then spoke with the attendant to let her know only to find out that she had also tried to charge me for an extra night after I clearly stated I was checking out. People make mistakes, things happen.. little glitches in the matrix. But the guy in the lobby raising his voice...I would cut him loose before he starts a civil matter. And to the girl at the front desk... humanity first... it's not your money lost.... give people the things they need to proceed with their day. Update. Reply to management. I did request the turn down service. Had they done what they were supposed to, I would have came down fully dressed and with shoes on.

Yes, parking is free in the lot which surrounds the hotel.
There are a lot of great restaurants within a few blocks. A few of my favorites are Red Rock Brewing Company and Market Street Grill. If you are looking for Mexican and don't mind a short drive Red Iguana is about 4-5 minutes a way and their mole is fabulous!
No, there is only Uber or taxi. You can also rent a car at the airport. The hotel does not provide transportation.
I'm sorry we do not have a shuttle. There are a lot of options for transportation. Uber or Lyft are both available in Salt Lake City or if you don't have a lot of bags and don't mind a 1/3 mile walk you can take Trax (Utah's light rail train system).
