Hi there, we stopped distributing turkeys around 12noon yesterday. However, if you call 211, they will provide you with alternative options for other turkey distributions happening in the area.

The only way they give out turkeys is you have to go down to the food bank on 33rd St and stand in line to get it. They give 1 turkey and a bag of stuff to make sides usually a box of stove top a bag of instant. Potatoes a can of gravy and a can of vegetables. I stand in it every year your best bet is to get there at about 5 to 6 am so your closer to the front. There's. Usually a couple thousand people that go. The line gets to be about a mile long that they wrap around threw the streets. They had out tickets that are numbered you have to get it in that order if your numbers passed. Up they won't let you cut back in the front. They usually. Run out at about 12 and they start. The line at 9am. There's people that camp out the night before even though they say they don't want anyone doing it. There's people. In wheelchairs, an all ages they. Come on the bus and walk for miles to get there. They don't have any drop off options for anyone. Bring a cart to carry your stuff to its heavy too

Hi Kelli, Yes! Our annual Turkey Distribution will be held on Monday, November 25 at our Family Services campus (3333 3rd Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95817). The event goes from 8am-12noon, however, we recommend that you try to arrive closer to 9-10am when the line is shorter. There's a one turkey limit per household, we will be giving out between 3-4,000 turkeys. Individuals will need to wait in line to get a ticket. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Yes it will an otther various places, Lutheran SOCIAL SERVICES, St.Paul Baptist, and location in the North Area as well

Vicki the Turkey give away will be on Monday November 25. Be early okay they start passing out the tickets around 7. So I be there no later than 6:30. You don't need to bring anything except yourself and something to carry your food in. I hope this info helps you okay.

It depends on which service you are in need of...clothing closet no appt. Unless you need clothing for a job interview...you can schedule a time to individually look in that section.

Hi William. The sac food bank has a free furniture service for those in need every Monday at 9 am. Visit the location on 3rd Street to get the details where the furniture warehouse is Unfortunately, they don't have a delivery service so you'd have to arrange to get the furniture on your own if you find something you can use.

Hello Mary, yes you can donate fresh produce, though I'm not positive on which address, I do know 3333 3rd Ave has a full kitchen and fresh vegetables have been shared among the community there. Hope this hepls

I go every year and it is always at 8am on the Monday just before Thanksgiving. I line up around 5 or 6am with a camping chair because the line is long, very long....for blocks - and bring a cart for a more express line. They have volunteers ready to drop stuff in your basket. They pass out hot chocolate and play music for a fun atmosphere.

The food bank is opened every day if you go to the website you'll see the times and if there's ever a special event or something going on that they will not be open they will alert you of that as well
