So for starters my step-son who is now 3 and diagnosed with autism has been with maxim for over a year. At first maxim seemed to be great, the Technician assigned to our son seemed to be doing an amazing job because me and my fiancé noticed a change in our sons behavior. That all went downhill fast. So just some backstory, A shadow shift was sent out to our home a week ago. This lady was ridiculous, she wanted to literally co-parent. Telling me and my fiancé how we should be parenting our kids. We did an outing to the park for my sons session, and that shadow technician was literally yelling and trying to parent another persons child. After that, and much more said by this woman my fiancé and I have had enough and filed a complaint saying we don’t want her coming back out to our house. Fast forward to the next day after filing that complaint, our house is deemed unsafe and messy. We were told that our BT Deidre Cardenas had filed a complaint against us stating that there were “maggots falling on her”. Deidre is literally afraid of flies. She would have made a big fuss right than and there about this if that was a true statement. It’s retaliation against me and my fiancé by the Shadow Technician. Also , our Sons Assigned BT Deidre was amazing in the beginning. She seemed to care a lot for our son and did her best everyday to help him. However, the past few months me and my fiancé have noticed a decline in attitude and professionalism. Deidre gained comfortability with us because she noticed we were not strict on her like others would have been. She began showing up 10-30 minutes late, began barely wanting to engage in actual activities to stimulate our sons mind to challenge him. And eventually our son started to revert back to certain things we had thought were gone. She began seeing our son as a paycheck and didn’t see him like she use to. She use to love coming and working with him, but the past few months she’s had attitude and disgust on her face. We also have a daughter who is the same age as our son, that Deidre completely had disgust with. She gave our daughter a nasty attitude on countless occasions. We kept our mouths closed because our son loved this woman, we thought that breaking them apart would hurt our son more in the long run, but boy were we wrong. Cutting off Deidre as our sons BT honestly should have been done months ago. Would not recommend Deidre Cardenas to anyone as a Behavioral technician for their child. She will gain comfortability and slack off taking the minimal amount of notes for her job, and your child will not improve. After telling management this they seemed to not care too much. They specifically said “your words won’t go un-noted ”. But they are , the Mid levels that came out to “inspect my progressively dirty house” had looks on their faces like “I don’t care what you say, only what my technician had to say”. Very Very! Unprofessional technicians along with management. I use to recommend maxim to everyone I’ve found out had a child with autism. Never again! DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE! Very unprofessional!!!

After much thought to making this review. I had to write this to warn other parents before starting services with maxim. I have been with them for over a year now for ABA for my child with no change in her behavior. We have gone through 2 BCBA'S since the start which sadly they both seemed to care about my child more then management or the company. They never were consistent with saying they would add things to her daily schedule and then it taking weeks if not months to change her program they also gave no guidance to the BCBA'S. I requested a meeting with the higher ups and was promised monthly meeting but every month only 1 would show or nobody. My recent BCBA went on Maternity leave they had no replacement ready knowing she was almost due and now my daughter has had a lapse in services since beginning of May and I have not heard from anyone since the end of May sadly. I urge any parent to consider their lack of communication and lack of caring before scheduling with this company. I had days they would not even call me to inform me someone would not show up for the services and even after constant calling I have still yet to see change from this company.

As a novice nurse I appreciate the open communication I have received from staff especially from recruiter Giovanni, Thuy and RNs Lori, and Stephanie. I know I can reach out at any time and call for guidance if needed and they respond . Highly recommend Maxim especially as a new nurse. The training is thorough, and the wide range of age and needs of patients gives you opportunities to expand experience and skills. The families I have been placed with have been a great match and my permanent patient has shown me a love for pediatrics that I did not know existed for me. Thanks Maxim and Maxim Families!
