So one of the female staff that works the front desk was very persistent when I started to use services here about comments how we didn't clean up or ask us when we plan on leaving. Now we only used the place for a few days and only for like showers. The rest of the staff are friendly but that female seem to have something against my family.

These workers are amazing. I had gotten help from them about 10 yrs ago. Love this place.

YesWhere else can you do laundry free for the homeless in Tacoma
You can walk in the office at FHN Mon,Tues 9am-4pm, Wed 12pm-6pm, & Thurs-Fri 9am-4pm and talk to a case manager about being set up w coordinated entry for help w housing. You must be actively homeless, meaning living in your car or outside in order to get help w housing. They can put you in a priority pool based on your situation. They only see 3 families a day for case management so the earlier you get there the better. They also have a day center that allows homeless families access to showers, laundry, and essential hygiene items for FREE. There is a fully functional and stocked kitchen available for use if you want to cook yourself a meal. Free snacks. There are also 2 computers that you can use for searching for jobs and housing only. They have tons of employment opportunities that you can learn about through them as well. The staff is wonderful and helpful. This place is amazing and a godsend! I go there almost daily to utilize day center and refer people there all the time.
Hi Selena - We have a daytime shelter for families with children, open 7 days a week. We do not have an overnight shelter, although we can assist families to locate available shelter openings. You can also check http://pchomeless.org/Facilities/Shelters for shelter availability, or call 211.
Hello Katie - Families can come in at 9 AM for showers and laundry every day except Wednesday. On Wednesdays we open at noon.
Yes they do! I am single and i just got housed they required valid ID and mailing address... Those were my obstacles. They will give you a packet which must be filled out by your new landlord... Or current one... And when you return it to the FHN generally you can expect an answer within a couple days, landlord posted within a week. This is a one shot deal but they have resources to stabilize your particular housing scenario. Good that helped.
Go to Associated Ministries on 13th & I street. Apply for their Diversion program
