As a previous aide for an agency, I’ve worked in a number of facilities in Ohio and Kentucky. No facility is perfect, but the one facility I would recommend time and time again would be Otterbein. The home-like environment gives us lower patient:aide ratios that are manageable, and I feel like Im able to make much more of an impact for my residents in the way that I need to.

I have been an RN in LTC for 25+ years and recently joined the Otterbein family. I wish I would have come to Otterbein years ago and by-passed the traditional LTC facilities. I love walking into the small houses, it's like walking into Grandma's house. The Otterbein family truly puts our elders first to make them happy and comfortable. I love working here and the people I work with but mostly the elders who make my day special everyday and I hope we all do the same for them.

The Leadership Team I work with is extremely professional, we are like one big family. They very helpful and react in a way that makes us all feel we are part of a true team. Madeline, our Campus Guide, is a great leader, very approachable and works efficiently to act in all situations. Teressa is extremely helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I’ve known her to work around the clock to make sure the elders are taken care of. I feel very fortunate to work with co-workers like this.

I have been with Otterbein a little over 3 years total and can truly say I love what I do. I love my coworkers and most of all I love the Elders! Such compassion skill and heart are the top ingredients seen daily to those we call family …..
