The new owners and management are really fixing this place up and putting forth real effort at making it a better place! Ms. Booker, the property manager, is not only on point and responsive to tenant needs, but has also been very friendly and gone above and beyond to ensure things are done in a timely manner. Can't wait to see what it's like this time next year! Edit, 1 year later: Well, I can't say that everything is perfect here, but management is paying attention to the tenants when they talk, even if it doesn't seem so. The new property manager has made a lot of improvements since taking over from Anna Booker, and the assistant mgr, Miss Kelly I believe her name is, is a very friendly and responsive Lady who listens and is on top of things. She is always happy to talk to tenants and get input and suggestions, and seems to be good at solving the problems and issues that were ignored by Anna, or that were too complex. Note that Anna was a 1st time mgr, and tried, but lack of experience in the field was a major downfall for her. The new Mgmt team has no such issues and are on top of things they can solve or make a positive change in, and are good at observing, taking notes on, and letting certain problems solve themselves, as some tend to do, like badly behaved tenants and those who would turn this place back into a wild west drug dealer's paradise and gun range... Before, there were gunshots multiple times weekly and more (non-resident)Drug dealers always hanging around than tenants, and it was a dangerous mess a little over a year ago. Now, there has been no gunfire in close to a year, all the problem tenants of the past several years have been evicted or made to move, and it seems that the Mgmt is being a little more scrutinizing about who they rent to now. The only problem person left is on the way out and just needs a little more rope to hang herself with figuratively speaking, and Mgmt is aware, watching, and waiting patiently for the problem to solve itself by the problem tenant being given enough leeway to pull another stunt or do another nasty/rotten thing in front of witnesses or cameras, so that the evidence is clear and documented, and there will be no issue getting said person out of here permanently and all the problems that go along with the person being here. In short, it is SOOOOOO much better now than a year ago. The only 2 issues I would like to have addressed that haven't been this far, are 1) Cameras are needed in both lobbies in order to truly secure the building and keep the mailboxes secured, as well as having record of who comes into and out of the building and when which will discourage criminal and drug traffic, and make identification of anyone who does some bad stuff a lot easier for all, And, 2, in the wintertime getting down the hill to the roadway is a treacherous and dangerous trek for all, even healthy people with no physical problems, and there needs to be a staircase put up the hillside somewhere allowing those who walk rather than drive to come and go in a safe manner rather than having a multitude of strangers making you the last of the dinosaurs.

Mice, mice, mice! Wouldn’t recommend, unless you’re fine with having furry guests. The building may look good on the outside but it’s all smoke and mirrors. The apartments themselves look nice but they have a bug and mice problem. Within two weeks of moving in I was seeing mice and cockroaches. Exterminators and maintenance were incompetent, couldn’t fix the issue. New property owners basically slapped lipstick on a pig. Place is a dump. I hope they replace those disgusting mailboxes and replace the apartment doors that had no numbers. With entry doors constantly being propped open, I don’t see the mice issue going anywhere, they’re in the walls and eating their way into the apartments. Don’t move here. Like the other person said, THIS IS YOUR WARNING.

Anna is the property manager and my favorite person. Extremely professional and has been helpful with everything along the way. Highly recommend her and Venture Communities. EDIT: ZERO STARS IF I COULD. SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.
