I was asked to come in 30 mins early. My appointment with the doctor was at 3:40 so I went in at 3:00 pm. I sat in the waiting room for one and a half hours before going back to a room. The lights were turned off while i was sitting there. My phone told me it was 5.00pm. I had to be somewhere across town in 30 mins. I just about had a good cry but instead i walked out. I called to make another appointment and my doctor was booked until March 5 months from now. They are swamped with too many patients

Some departments are okay, but the OBGYN department is incompetent! I had 2 leeps in the past, but this clinic failed/forgot to measure my cervix length during my ultrasound. I asked them to PLEASE measure me, and the ultrasound department told my female doctor NO, that its not important (I asked my doctor to request another ultrasound to measure me, since I had weird symptoms, including bleeding with the pregnancy, and had 2 prior miscarriages!) Then some male high risk doctor told me my baby had a risk of down syndrome, because of a test they did. I spent a month wondering if my baby had down syndrome, and apparently the first test was wrong and can be wrong if the mother herself is sick. I was indeed sick (we found out part of why i was sick at my new doc right away, the rest was discovered 24 hours after my emergency ceserean when my baby and I both fell ill) . I switched doctors offices because I felt scared something bad was going to happen to me and my baby if I didn't. New doctor discovered I was indeed sick all along, but it was too late. My water broke shortly after getting a new doctor..at 28 weeks 6 days. Then I ended up with an emergency ceserean, and my baby spent 7 weeks in the NICU. If they had listened to me..and had any common sense about LEEP procedures and miscarriage/pprom risk.. my baby and I would not have had to come so close to death. I have strong doubts they ever even looked at my surgical records to see how much tissue was taken, or how high risk it made me. That male high risk doctor spent a lot of time telling me I might have a disabled baby all because I was over 35. He also completely dismissed my concerns about my cervix length and prior leeps. He said it wasnt important! What medical texts is he reading? The surgeon who actually did my surgery said it would cause problems if I had another baby. Ya'll need to go back and look over those records! The high risk doctor looks old enough to be my Dad, but sat there telling me that men his age can keep making healthy babies, but I'm advanced maternal age so I cant so easily. That month I spent waiting for results saying he was wrong...I spent apologizing to my unborn baby for thinking I could have a baby so old. I felt like I had done something terribly wrong, and was selfish to want to love a baby at my age. I felt like a horrible human being, all for being over 35. I had a short pregnancy and felt like a crummy human being all because of that doctors words for a month of my pregnancy! He was sooooo wrong. My child is 3 now and perfectly healthy and very intelligent. I was sick...just me! I know my body. They should have trusted me. I am not suing anyone, or coming for anyone. I just hope they feel as guilty, as they should for that.

Thank you for all the help and services you provide !

Don't believe about cost what anyone at Jordan Valley tells you. I ask for cost up front also and paid with cash only to pay even more and then for them to send me a bill asking for even more. I went through a couple different cashiers and one of them was a complete idiot and apparently a thief
I have several doctors there myself and agree! Love Jordan Valley and have also seen Dr Delport. 😉
Yes. Information on the sliding scale qualifications/pricing is on the website, under new patient information.
Jordan Valley does have a substance use and pain management programs through their Benton clinic. You would need to establish with a primary and be referred over there. Call in and ask explain your situation and let them know you would like to establish care. If you don't have insurance, you can schedule an appointment to sign up on the sliding scale program to get discounts on services. You can also get help signing up through the marketplace for insurance.
Hi Yancy, We do have a pain management clinic. Call 417-831-0150 or visit our website www.jordanvalley.org for more information.
I'm sure they do
You can apply for the sliding scale with a consumer care coordinator and pay a small fee and get the same exact care as those with insurance. It's a really good thing to call and make an appointment to do. I am going to do it myself.
Yes
The flu shot costs $25 at JV if you don't have insurance. The Walgreens did have vouchers to get one for free at the pharmacy. You will have to call them to see if they still have them. You can safely give the flu shot if you have Pertussis however, they may ask you to wait.
Yes to both of your questions. 😉
United Health Care is Medicare not Medicaid but they take both. Medicare is government and Medicaid is state. I just got a United Healthcare Dual Complete insurance plan in May '19. It's different than just straight Medicare that I've had for 20 years now. It's best to call United Healthcare and make sure that your doctor is in their Network. I used to have United Healthcare just as a prescription plan but now it covers just about everything I need!! See if you qualify for it if you don't already have it! Has tons of benefit!
No & they are really good and nice. Very pleasant all the way around! Highly recommended
I believe 3rd floor but they will guide you. Check in first floor though. You will see the sign.
Yes!
For dentures the best place is in MT Vernon. I'm very impressed with mine from them
No
I believe you can. Mon-Fri 8-5 at 440 E.Tampa St. CK in lower level.
You can come in between 8-4:30 Mon-Friday to do a free preg test in Women's Health. If it is positive they will then help you get set up with your first appt. I don't think you can make an appt until they have proof of pregnancy so it would be easier to just come in and do the test and make the appt then.
The can set up a payment arrangement with you before your appointment.
It used to be five stars but they grew up and administration kinda screwed it up. It appears that they over work everyone now.
They offer free flu vaccination for children under age 18. Adults with insurance will be covered by insurance. It's $25 for adults without insurance.
They can help with a sliding fee based on income and help with getting the Medicaid approved. Go in and ask to talk to a care coordinator.
Call Monday morning. They don't really check these questions.
Yes. It's in the lower level, but you first check in near the front door. Looks at the pictures, you will see stuff in the waiting area.
That is a very kind way of saying that Jordan valley has gone downhill in the last 10 years.
No but they have a quick care!
Hi Devin, We do offer a sliding fee for oral surgery services. Call 417-831-0150 to schedule an appointment with one of our care coordinators for slide. Thanks!
They do not do colonoscopies at JV. Your PCP puts in a referral to have it done at Cox or Mercy...
I was told yes....although the oral surgeon told me no, i asked the dental assistant and she asked the dentist. He said he could do immediate dentures. Not partials though....i really like the dentist. Im now scared of the oral surgeon. He was short and rude as can be and don't dare smell like smoke he won't do it and or even reschedule it if you even smell like it. I was like my hubby smokes....well tell him not too was the response.....wow!!!
Yes, I believe they do. You'd better call and double check though. This is a federal community health provider and as such they do the very most to help people financially with every aspect of health care and have special programs funded by the feds that also assists financially with visits themselves AND any prescribed meds. There are several possible solutions to help you receive medical and dental care here. This is also a nice, new, and clean facility.
Sure omg E.R. call 911 she is in pain get off the computer and get her to emergency ❤ care
When you go into the parking lot go under the Bridge go into that door it's on the east side of the building they will take your temperature you will walk into the door and go right follow the teeth on the floor they will take you right to it and good luck it is really really busy with the state opening back up
Jordan Valley is not taking any new orthodontic patients at this time.
I suspect that you are free to go anywhere you wish to, however your problem may lie in the fact that you do not have ins. I cannot speak to how easy/hard it will be to get an appt. without ins. I can however reccomend the team of doctors at Mercy Orthopaedic Hospital/Nixa. I had hip replacement surgery there. They were wonderful/extraordinary, cannot praise them highly enough! Hope this helps!
No
Not as a walk in. You need to make an appt with Women's Health. There are a couple PCP's who do removal. You would need to call Monday to make an appt.
Yup thank you so much for getting the help you need
Not sure but they do have a sliding scale based on income I have done this in the dental part
They generally announce when they are giving free flu shots. A lot of Walmarts in Walgreens in this area do them
Walk-in clinic bills on a sliding scale need to go to office and fill out papers
That's a tough one Kenneth my wife just had dentures I don't know that there's anyone out there that takes payments..??
Yes
Call the main number and ask to establish care in family practice.
You could call and meet with a care coordinator and apply for our sliding program. You more than likely would qualify. Then you could be seen in dental and we could be able to give you an accurate quote.
All dentists can do nitrous, but not sedation. The oral surgeon here can give IV sedation.
No
Call them. They have a sliding scale depending on your income.
Yes
You can contact Samantha Coats, CMAP Coordinator. Her hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
Medical Express Care (walk-in) is open until 4pm. The rest of the clinic is closed including dental walk-in.
Jordan Valley does not do braces.
They do accept walk ins but you would have a longer wait time.
Yes
Jordan valley does have lower priced services. They also have financial options available for uninsured patients and people available to assist with navigating them.
Depends on the provider but yes, we do
Call them. They don't really check these questions
They have a sliding scale. It's Based on the income of the house hold. Best to call in and ask. This is a public forum and so your answers will not come from someone who works there (Most of the time) . Good luck
I think they do have a sliding scale of their cost based on what the other person said. Must show proof on all working people in the home though (I think)
Best to call to get that answer
It depends on whether you have a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan. I have an Advantage plan that pays $1000 per year on dental.
I am not sure but I think so
They told me they do until noon on Saturdays and then dental is not open on Sundays.
I agree, i would call and ask before going.
No I came in with a whole hole in my tooth and they just shrugged me off and told me to make an appointment.
They told me they do not accept care credit as payment. Care credit is credit/financing for health, dental, and veterinary balances. It is financing through Synchrony Bank.
They should. When I have had appointments, and checking in they first ask is this a walk in. No child should be in pain. Hope she gets better.
417-831-0150, give us a call!
Sliding fee scale. Between $25.00 &$50.00 based on income.
They may have a late night time drop off box, but best to call them to get your answer.
Call them and ask
I think it's in the back of the building. The electric sign will point you to where you need to go
Yes, it's possible to make an appointment with a primary care doctor. Just call the number on maps and speak to someone directly. The online appointment system doesn't work.
