Very impressed with how much the staff care! I have received updates around the clock, and have had constant and consistent communication as expected. I have been well informed of everything as it happens. The staff have all been very respectful of my son and our wishes, and really try to see the bigger picture to give to try appreciate treatment and other help needed and tell it to you so that you can better understand. This facility treats all ages, but has a lower number of patient count so each person gets the treatment needed as opposed to being rush along with wrong diagnosis or other need.

I went there in November and honestly I hated it, they treated us like children In a daycare.

Crystal Simmons
I am very discouraged and truly believe this place is not worth the stay as they denied kids as a suicidal statement was not enough for admissions as the child did not attempt to take there life. So basically a child has to actually act upon the statement in order to get help. The admission team was extremely unconcerned about the child’s safety. I felt extremely lost in the world of a very broken mental health system…. This place needs a new dr that takes this more seriously!!!

@Ashley Hanson- every time he does this you either need to call 911 to get ambulance and police to take him to the ER. He needs to be evaluated immediately!! In the mean time, see if you're insurance will do a self admittance in patient, and call Royal oaks about your options as well. They are a very good hospital. Plus find a psychiatrist, and both trama and behavioral therapists through his insurance..... Remember you are the parent! You set the rules and standards in your home. Call everyone you possibly can!! And if you need to do this every single day, do it... eventually your son will get the help her needs! I hope your family finds the answers needed.
Call admissions . Right now we only take kids.
I always thought that it was 6 and above. I'm not sure give them a call.
Immediately
Yes. Mental and Behavioral Health Hospital.
Yes
Royal oaks is only taking adolescents and pre-adolescents due to using the adult unit as a isolation unit for anyone who test positive for covid however they are hoping to be able to start accepting adults again in the future. I hope this information helps.
My daughter had hers in when I went to visit her she said she told them she super glue it shut I'm not sure if that was true or not
Just go get the help that you need.. I suffer from depression and there is is no shame in getting the help that you need.
8am but open 24 hours for emergency
I would first find an adult you feel comfortable talking to like a neighbor..school friend's parents..or even a nearby relative..and tell them your concerns and see if they can help you talk to your parents.
No, but they provide entertainment. There's a wii, a tv, a ping pong table, a pool table, card games, board games, and a lot of other stuff to do.
Yes they have an adult unit, it is inpatient short stay but they have great resources to get you to a long term facility if thats what is needed.
Depends. Visiting a preadolescent, adolescent, or adult? They all have different times and days. Here's the front desk 6606472182
Talk to their councillor and they will help you
Quite often
I'm not sure. I know one therapist uses cognitive behavioral therapy but that's all I know for sure.
Yes. They help people who suffer from suicidal thoughts and actions
