Hello! Gratiot Woods Co-op Senior Apartments is currently taking names for their waiting list. The seniors pay 30 percent of their gross monthly income. Water and gas are included in the rent. If interested, please give our waitlist office a call at 1-800-593-3052.

Co-op members pay for their rent, as they would in any other building. There is no equity buy-in. Our apartments are democratically controlled by the members. Voting co-op members participate in management decisions. They vote for their own officers: president, vice president, treasurer, etc. The fee is a one time payment at lease signing of $100. Our communities are non-profit organizations. Any profits are put back into the co-op to benefit the members. At Gratiot Woods Co-op you do have to meet the age criteria of 62 and older to qualify. We do, however, have a couple of senior co-op apartments where they lowered the age to 55 and older. There is still extra criteria you would need to meet in order to qualify. We also have co-ops for persons who are needing an accessible unit because of a permanent, mobility impairment.
