Sweet staff, yummy food (get their blueberry buckle) and gorgeous sights. Highly recommend. My husband and I along with our three kids (9, 8, and 6) loved it!!

We have been on 5+ trips with Puget Sound Express. Our favorite is the full day trip from Port Townsend. I’ve had a good experience with every crew we’ve been with. They answer every question and they’re very accommodating! The boats are very comfortable and they know how to maximize viewing of the whales. My wife is 3/3 on seeing the resident orcas! Looking forward to many more years of trips.

It was a great cruise! Ours was reschedules due to bad weather coming in the afternoon but plenty of notice was given. Very safety conscious company! We definitely saw wildlife and many birds, but no whales. Because of that, everyone on the cruise got a free voucher to return, no expiration date! The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would definitely return!

We took the 4 hour Gray Whale tour out of Port Townsend today and it was an amazing experience! The Captain and crew were professional, attentive and affable. I felt very safe in their company. They knew exactly where to take us to see 2 gray whales (and a 3rd whale, further away) feeding along a stretch of shoreline. Such huge and majestic creatures, they are! Tony, the onboard biologist and guide was very approachable and knowledgeable. Plenty of room on the outside of the vessel for everyone to get great photos/vantage points. Highly recommend the blueberry coffee cake and boxed lunch. Parking was a breeze this time of year but in the busy season I would recommend giving yourself plenty of extra time to find parking near the marina. I highly recommend this experience and can't wait to do it again. Thank you for the swell time Puget Sound Express crew!

No. But if you don't see any whales, you get a rain check for your next visit
Hello. We see whales year-round in the Salish Sea, but many folks prefer summer whale watching because the weather is nice. In general, we focus our tours on gray whales in March/April, and then spend the rest of the year with a combination of orcas, humpbacks, minkes, and gray whales. Our Port Townsend departure location runs tours March-October. Our Seattle/Edmonds departure location runs tours March - December.
I will guarantee you that someone with a Walker should be able to get aboard. You'll love, love, love it. Please be sure to preorder your lunch. Enjoy.
Yes, on board they have some snacks for sale, a blueberry buckle, and coffee, tea, etc. At Friday harbor you can buy lunch at a number of restaraunts. Bringing you in snacks on board is very common.
The one my husband and i did is a 2-3 hour tour out of Port townsend and back, they had other options. It is a good time my husband and I did this just a few weeks ago, it's a great way to make memories and enjoy not having to do much but enjoy being out on the water and getting to see the whales.
