My first time 🏌️‍♀️here via Oki Card. Nice green and wide fairway with plenty of sand traps. The pace was very slow may be because there was a tournament. Love the UW theme ⛳️

With the UW student discount it was a great deal. However, the maintenance this year has really taken a down turn compared to prior years. The bunkers used to be soft and fluffy but have become rocky and shallow. Additionally the “waste areas” and flower beds around the course are full of weeds and unkept. Fairways and greens are all still in GREAT condition. It’s just the little things that make it less pristine. Still my favorite course in WA and will be back weekly!

Great course but the traps leave something to be desired. Conditions are better now than last year.

Granted I played in March and expected sub-optimal conditions, but the fairways were dreadful. Absolutely soggy. This has been a a relatively dry winter (by Seattle-area standards) and I have played lots of neighboring courses this winter. The fairways at Washington National were far worse than any of them, yet greens fees were $90. Also, there was a par 4 hole on the back nine that was closed, replaced with a crummy little 100 yd par 3. No mention of that when I booked my tee time. Finally, let's talk about the practice range. It is about 1/4 mile from the course, and down a steep hill from the first tee. And like the rest of the facility, it is in bad shape. The greens are well maintained and fun, but they are not enough to make up for the lingering bad taste.
