No better place to walk in the water at low tide. The most sand dollars you will ever see in your life. Yes they are black. Means they are alive. White ones are skeletons. Enjoy.

Great spot for picnics with a brisk hike down to the water's edge. Discovery Pass required. Plenty of parking, bathrooms on site. Olympic Otter

It's a shame! This park used to be amazing. Now you can't even camp there. All the beautiful camp sites are completely closed, probably because of the neighboring property owners being stuck up. Thanks Gig Harbor for ruining yet another awesome location...

Visited in March 2021, ample parking, nice little trail down to the beach for views across to Deadman's (Cutt) Island and the Olympics on a clear day. As per most WA State Parks there were doggy bag stations stocked in multiple locations, and the toilets were clean and seemed well maintained. Pretty park will definitely visit again.

What animals live in park

I've seen small deer and an occasional fox as the largest things there. If you go down to the water you might see some small crabs or maybe a Harbor seal. Also some form of bird it's the size of a pelican with a skinny yellow beak and a black body. These few animal are the largest things I've ever encountered and to the best of my knowledge none are dangerous. The most likely to interact with you may be the rabbits squirrels and raccoons but only because other visitors to the park feed them even though there are signs everywhere saying not to.
