Thanks to "Contact Contact" for attempting to respond but the actual location to obtain past immunization records is to use the Washington State Dept. of Health's free MyIR system at https://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/Immunization/ChildProfileHealthPromotion/ForParents/AccessyourFamilysImmunizationInformation -- We encourage you to also try contacting the health care provider where vaccines were given to you as they may still have your records.
Hi Marie, thanks for writing. Assuming that you need these particular vaccines for travel-related purposes to a country that either requires or recommends it, yes, we do provide both Hep A and typhoid vaccine. Visit our Travel Clinic website for details about the required travel assessment process as well as the list of vaccines we have to offer at www.kingcounty.gov/travel -- be advised that the King County Travel Clinic does not accept private/commercial insurance but you will be given an itemized statement of fees that you can provide to your insurer for reimbursement. Also, check the updated Traveler's Health website from the CDC at https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel -- scroll down their page a bit and select the country you're heading to in the drop down menu for Travelers for a list of recommended vaccines.
Hi Stella, thanks for writing however this isn't an area within our expertise so we can't respond to your question.
Hi Topher, we can't respond to patient-based questions through this means of communication since Google cannot guarantee confidentiality. Instead, please call our HIV/STD office who also manages our Harm Reduction/Substance Abuse section for assistance on identifying providers for you at 206-263-2000.
Hi Rowena, thanks for writing. As of 2008, we're no longer funded to provide free flu shots to the general public as a one-time only visit. Otherwise, flu shots are limited only to our fully-registered patients who get their primary care at our Public Health Centers listed at www.kingcounty.gov/locations Marjorie's response below is true as part of standard King County employee benefits however those are not offered through us. You can find out where flu shots are offered at retail pharmacies and clinics nearest you using the online HealthMap Vaccine Finder at http://flushot.healthmap.org but the locations do charge a fee so you might call around to compare pricing.
Hi Dennis, thanks for writing but we don't carry legal power to investigate practices with home dwellings managed by the Seattle Housing Authority. I would recommend to instead contact the main SHA administrative offices through their site at https://www.seattlehousing.org/contact-us
No, sorry, Public Health inspectors don't carry legal authority to inspect home dwellings unless it's an issue related to a permit through us such as plumbing permits, gas piping permits and permits for semi-public pools and spas. Otherwise, refer to a list of 3rd party tenant assistance groups on the State Attorney General's website of resources at http://www.atg.wa.gov/residential-landlord-tenant-resources
Hi DeeDee, thanks for writing. While there are no laws in regards to having bed bugs and therefore, it's not an issue that government has the power to intervene, we do have detailed tips on how to clean up and prevent the insects on our website at www.kingcounty.gov/bedbugs
Hi Clayton, apologies for the delay in response. I didn't know that Google listings had an option to ask questions and they don't seem to list dates of when the questions were asked. At any rate, death certificates are issued through our Vital Statistics office located at 908 Jefferson St, Seattle, WA 98104, 2nd floor. Learn more at www.kingcounty.gov/vitalstats
