Staff was absolutely great today with my not so big but very strong pit bull... She was nervous with them coming into the room until they broke out the string cheese and treats and the. She was putty in their hands. They definitely know how to handle doggos of all sizes! Thanks for the great experience!

Updating to reflect their manager's response: LUCY - our dog’s name is Lucy. As their manager mentioned, this ultimately ended up being an end of life situation for our beloved family dog. I do not appreciate management defending the flat-out rudeness of their receptionist. I promise no one ‘advised’ her in any way during our conversation. I was not put on hold, the call was maybe 30 seconds. Calling our dog by the wrong name in your response is probably the best summation of the care families should expect their pets to receive. Do yourself a favor and follow their receptionist’s advice. Go elsewhere. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience with Pope Animal Hospital to other recent reviews. My mom's senior lab is experiencing a very scary medical emergency. At the advice of the 24-hour emergency vet, we waited until morning to make an appointment with her regular vet, Pope. When I called to make an appointment, I was told there were no day of appointments available. Understandable. I explained that it was an emergency and what was happening. The receptionists' response was, "again, we do not have any appointment available today." There was absolutely no compassion or care for our dog's state. No questions were asked about her state, and no suggestions to comfort her. Their only advice was to call another vet.

Once again, my dog’s name is LUCY. PLEASE, please do yourself a favor, go to any other vet. My original review for Pope is nowhere to be found, but please see screenshots below of my original review, an ‘apology’ from their manager calling our family dog by the wrong name when going through an awful end of life situation, and their poor excuses. Absolutely despicable.
