Had to call to get my truck unlocked. They were happy to assist. Then of course Sheri, (light color hair) had to get a photo of the 2 of use with cop car in back ground.😂🤣

Friendly people got the help I needed. I have had interaction with most department s here since moving to Hamilton county. Only complaint is drivers license department is a little small.

I called before going to know what to bring and they were very pleasant and answered all of my questions. I was in and out in ten minutes to update my license. The wait time in Ames is over 2 hours most of the time. The woman helping me was friendly and informative.

My license expires on 12/29/19. When can I come in and apply for a new one? What days do you have driver's license renewal open? Thank you!! do I have to take the test again or just the eye test?

Hi Cheryl! You have a 60 day grace period after the expiration date on your license. Currently, driver's license is by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment.
