It looks like it could fall in the river at any moment but gets the job done

Moronic operators. I have literally lost all count of the number of times I've had to sit for half an hour because the bridge was up, and then a barge show itself. I understand raising and lowering with plenty of time, but over a dozen Times I've been stuck on the bridge for nearly a half an hour with no barge in sight. Just got done sitting for ten before the barge got to the bridge. Yet it takes less than a minute to raise and lower.

Always nice to see that bridge.

Constructed in 1929 and has borne the expectations and burdens of past generations. Though considered "functionally obsolete" and "structurally deficient" it stands as a tribute to strength, durability and beauty in the engineering marvels that have been passed up in favor of bland replacements.
