I'm a local so I have a biased opinion. I just love going here. It feels like worlds away when I'm just looking out at the water. Typically it's not too crowded. And I can just pull up a folding chair and enjoy the scenery. There are some picnic tables in the area and some grassy areas that are good for having a picnic when the weather is good. Great place for the kids to just run around. When the tide is low you could go pretty far out. Overall it's just a great place. The parking lot is paid parking just something to think about but I'm willing to pay a few bucks to enjoy this view and scenery.

Beauitful area to take in a creek, some forest and water front. Walking trails all around the Marina. Free parking available. Dogs allowed on leash. Poop bag stations. Porta potty is located at start of trail. Leave no trace. ✌💚ENJOY

Beautiful marina, clean and well-maintained, good for walking, enjoying an amazing views and the best part every Saturday from June up to end of September (from 10 to 2 pm) Farmers Market, fresh produce and beautiful bouquets, handmade jewelry, paintings, life music, food trucks and different different things.. it's a pay parking but it's not expensive I remember for one hour it's only $1. I really enjoyed my time there.

Best beach around! A cute little trail, and if you want to find shells there are literally thousands upon thousands of them at this beach! Everywhere you step, not kidding! The sea life/Tide pool life was so cool too! The view is amazing and it was just plain fun! There are also restrooms and a picnic area and event center nearby. You have to pay for parking but it is only $1 per hour! We went around 4pm on a Friday in May and there was barely anyone there (There were people of course, just not overly crowded)

Questions & Answers

What are the fishing regulations here??

Pretty much WDFW dictates the fishing regulations. Check on their website what the current regulations are. The city of Des Moines can't regulate what you can and cannot catch. The marina/dock closes at 10 PM.

Can be reserved the shelter picnic .?

The city of Des Moines manages that area. The buildings and picnic area can be reserved for a fee. We have used the indoor area for large groups. The only drawback is the paid parking, it is slow getting a large group out.
