Not a great turnout very long lines and very expensive for this type of open air market. On the plus side nice view except all the construction and not to mention the smell from the water treatment plant just up the hill. This city really should do way more for the community and less for them selves imo. I mean why is market parking free but if you want to go fishing you have to pay???? This is just another example horrible waste of community resources that should be cleaning up the crime and attending to the drug and homeless problems.

Love this market every summer! They seemed to struggle a bit getting vendors there this year, but hopefully things will be up and going stronger next year. We still enjoy it, whenever we can make it there! Great flower and veg/fruit vendors, great jewelry and other goods, and great food trucks (Especially the drinks from The Bean Hut!)

We love being able to go chill at the Des Moines Farmers market. Enjoy the waterfront. Have some food listen to music, see some neighbors and support the local small business vendors. And of course participate with our daughter having her booth… Thanks for making it accessible for her and the community!

Not as good ad I use to be. I miss all the great food trucks, especially Jemils Big Easy truck. There was no live music today either. However the scenery is AMAZING.

Per their Website and Facebook page, they dont open until Saturday, June 2 this year (2018)
