Original Review: Our first time out to the lake this year & it didn't disappoint!! The water was great, the grass was green & clean, and it was a great time with family & friends! 2022 Update: Still a great lake & fun time! They have since remodeled the beach & have fantastic steps down to the water. We go multiple times a year & love every minute!

Lovely place water is really cold so you really got to pay attention. But they do provide life vest on one side of the lake. The bathrooms are pretty good. Between memorial day and labor day I believe it will cost 7$ per car to get thru.

Beautiful spot for a picnic, an afternoon stroll with the family, and reading a good book. Great spot to take photos of Mount Rainier. They do close early between October and March so make sure to head there early as they close the park around 4pm. There are some bugs in the park though so I’d advise bringing some bug deterrent if you hate these flying demons.💀 Ins: blindinglightsimages

This is a great park to picnic in with friends and family. I went here solo and still had loads of fun lazing on the plush green shores of the lake, under the shade of a tree while sun streamed down from between the branches! They’ve everything! Plenty of parking, boat launch areas, washrooms and lot of room to chill! Oh, and Rainier views!!! 😍 The 7$ entry fee for cars is well worth it! I’d recommend this park if you’re looking for a nice, fun place to spend some quality time with friends and family; or, even if you want to go solo to get away from hustle and bustle of daily life!

What time is it open and close
It's open for swimming now
Yes swimming is open but only half the park because they are doing work on the park.
The swimming area is closed right now for sure. But people are at the park.
Yes, but lots of boats around. Scare off the fish.
It changes around May 7th I believe. THAT is when they start charging you a fee AND when the park becomes so packed that it's a mediocre experience anyways, trust me. They WILL have someone posted @ the booth @ the entrance here soon. I always thought it changed June 1st but I stand corrected. Soo Thanks "L Nell" for confirmation ✌️that's the day I won't enter anymore unless the kids beg or on foot 😁
Yes
I believe everything is still happening this year at Tapps.
The Park is open 10-4 and I've seen people with fishing poles. Make sure you have a fishing license.
Yes, and it closes at 8pm
The park is open from 6AM to 8PM. They don't allow any cars in after 7PM.
Yes
Boat ramp and partial park are open. Lots of construction still.
The lake is open with limited access. They only had one section open to the public for swimming when i went on tuesday.
Yes there are walking paths i know.
Yes
We swam in it all last summer, on the side opposite the boat launch area. It's cold, though.
I've never had to pay anything for my kayak. There are plenty of public launches on the lake.
10 per vehicle
No. Picinic, day use. Boat launch. Swimming but with no life guards. $5 entry fee per car.
Yes it is. The view is of Mt. Rainer from the lake. It was a crystal clear day.
