This was a beautiful area to get out and hike a little bit. You can hear the birds talking with each other and have a few opportunities to see a river pushing through as well. This is a pretty active and popular spot though, so if you prefer to hike alone this is not the spot for you.

I love this place. You park up at the top of the bluff and hike down to the beach through a forested trail. You cross a small stream and go down stairs and finally under a railroad underpass to reach the beach. You feel like you earned the amazing view once you get there. I always take time to drink in the view. Then you begin your ascent back up to the top. It's a little challenging, however I see kids and old folks going up the trail with no issue. There is a handicap parking lot if you need it.

My favorite place to hike. I come here all the time. The view of the beach is beautiful and the hike is easy enough to run, but is a difficult enough incline the last ½ mile your glutes will feel it the next day. The total hike is about 2½ miles.

A wonderful trail all around. It starts going through a beautiful path that looks like a part of the Shire and it ends at a beach. Then, when you think, "Well that was easy." You start to head back and realize that subtle downhill has turned into a respectable uphill and, while still beautiful, you actually get a pretty good burn. It is far from a hard trail but perfect for a nice dose of nature while not doing anything too harsh. A great hike for all ages and I even found a heart made out of leaves the last time I went.

Yes, in fact I see a lot of the same people on a regular basis, and most people smile. With that being said, it's still important to remain aware of your surroundings, as it only takes one bad apple.
If you walk out onto the beach and the tide is far enough out then you may have a decent chance but its typically not very windy.
Date/walk, yes. Hike, no.
It's one way trail 2.2 miles downhill. That means you have to walk uphill all the way back where you started. I see kids in that age every time I go there, also there are multiple stops on the way where you can set and rest. I recommend to go with light loads for the first time, and check how it goes. It is highly recommend btw.
No, the parking lot is small. Only room for 10-20 cars. You can park on the street, but you will get a ticket from the park rangers if they catch you. Hopefully, they will enlarge the parking lot soon. The trails and beach are family friendly. So bring your kids, dogs, and bottle of water for the one mile hike to the beach. The sand is soft on your feet.

no, this place is crawling with demons. There is a park ranger at the end of the trail though.
I agree, depends on the girlfriend. You should walk the trail to the beach first by yourself.
I dont believe bikes are allowed on the trail unfortunately.
If you contact the Ranger on site, you can request access to a back gate that brings you to the station down at the end of the trail.
Yes but the water is colder than in lakes. Salt water
There is no playground. There is an area to play as the other reviews say. If you are looking for a swing set, you will be disappointed.
You must fill out an application to receive permission to use the handicap access. The form is available online at the Snohomish County Parks and Facilities site.
